Stefan Salvatore, a vampire from
back in Civil War times, meets
Elena Gilbert, and the two are
immediately drawn to one another.

an old rivalry between the two is
awakened. Damon soon falls for

finds them back in their old home,
little Mystic Falls and she stirs things
up. Worst comes to worst and Elena

struggling with her emotions

Stefan’s personality for the most part considers being an all-around gentleman. He’s charismatic, charming, passionate and deeply romantic and because of this, he is highly magnetic to and popular with the opposite sex. He has a very selfless, idealistic approach to love. Because of this, Stefan has always been popular, admired and loved by the opposite sex or women since his human life. He almost always respects women's choices and decisions, even if he doesn't agree with them. When Stefan is at his best, he is extremely caring, loving, helpful, understanding, selfless, empathetic, and compassionate. He does not like to see others suffering or in any kind of pain, whether it be physical, emotional, spiritual or mental. Stefan can be very wise and comforting to others and people can always depend on Stefan. Stefan likes to give advice, help people, and comfort others who need comforting and support. Stefan is always willing to lend a helping hand when it is needed most and he will put the needs of others before his own. He is always willing to save people, especially those who need saving the most at a particular time. He is the kind of person who tries to protect and save everyone at the same time. Though like every person, Stefan does have a dark side that he chooses to suppress because if not, well things can get a little nasty.

Throughout his life living as a vampire, Stefan has been fighting a blood-addiction he has. His best friend Lexi has been the one to help him along the way but there are times when he falls off the edge of control and it takes a lot to bring him back from the bloodlust. Because of his blood addiction, Stefan is a certified "blood-a-holic". When Stefan consumes copious amounts of human blood, his entire attitude seems to change. He is unstable, volatile, unpredictable, rash, reckless, and careless and can become highly destructive. The "ripper" side of him usually causes him to push people away and become emotionally cold, withdrawn and distant. When Stefan lets his blood lust take over, this is because unlike his older brother Damon, Stefan never learned how to control, his thirst for human blood, he often shuts off his humanity and his emotions to block out his suffering, guilt and pain. When he drinks human blood in large amounts, he has a difficult time feeding in moderation afterwards, and deals with this much of the time by abstaining from human blood completely and drinking animal blood.

Bonnie is an upbeat and positive person who at least tries to look on the bright side of things. Bonnie was also noted for having many heroine tendencies, namely, being repeatedly ready to sacrifice herself for her friends. As her powers have increased, the witch has stepped up at pretty much every opportunity to trade her life for those of her friends. Luckily, Bonnie was alive and well, her spell-casting abilities most definitely came in handy when the Original Vampires came to Mystic Falls. Bonnie remains a strong person, who was loyal to her friends. Bonnie's biggest defining trait, as well as her greatest weakness, is her loyalty to her friends. This strength and weakness sometimes gets Bonnie into a fit of trouble that she barely makes it out okay sometimes. She believes that it was her duty to help those close to her, despite whatever it may cost her, a trait that every single member of her family has warned her on at some point. Bonnie is a loyal and helpful friend, she’s the type who ‘comes when you call’ and she’ll do whatever it takes to help out. Despite her powers, Bonnie is the quieter of the bunch she doesn’t necessarily go out and party. You can usually find her at home just relaxing most of the time.

Bonnie is most notably the most powerful Witch in her generation. She gets her magic from nature and she is capable of performing spells without some of the most important reagents to gain the desired effect. Bonnie's only known limitation as of late is dependent on her emotional status and confidence in her abilities, though with a lack of proper magical control. Probably one of the biggest weaknesses for any Witch is doubt in their own powers and skill. If a witch lacks confidence in their true power, it will always reflect itself in how they perform using their magic hindering a majority of their true skill. It's only when a Witch becomes aware of just how powerful they truly are can they reach the highest control of their abilities. Magic can often be split into dark and light, though depending on the situation can also be neutral. Magic is a genetic heredity that connects a witch to the elements and forces of nature in order to practice sorcery. Bonnie has tapped into various types of magic which includes, Spirit Magic: calls upon the aid of spirits, Dark Magic: magic that draws upon malevolent powers and is fueled by the darkest aspects of witches themselves such as negative emotions and temptation, and Expression: An unnatural form of magic that involves channeling the souls of dead humans and releases darkness that cannot exist on Earth without corrupting and destroying it.
