Sam-
"All right, if everyone's ready let's go!" She grabbed her bag's straps and lept into the swirling liquid. She was surrounded by a white light with black flecks shooting past her. Almost like a sky with negative effect on it. Soon, a circle appeared in front of her and she was thrown through, landing on soft grass and old stones. She quickly rolled away from the new gate an stood up to wait for the others.

Basil quickly jumped into the swirling water after Sam. The white light made her squint as she went through. A heartbeat later she saw the disk of sunlight and fell through to the other side of the gate. As Basil stood, she felt the mossy earth against her skin, and the stones, crumbling and grey from age. She stood beside Sam, hugging her suitcase, and waited for the others, bouncing excitedly on the balls of her feet.

"Hey wait up!" he called to the two girls as he ran into the swirling stuff after them. He kept his eyes firmly closed because he didn't want to be blinded again. He felt himself land on a hard, bumpy surface, so he opened his eyes. Dusting off his back, he stood up and moved away from the gate toward Sam and Basil. "Does it always just toss people out onto the ground so unceremoniously, ... or is it just me?" he joked.

Sam-
She laughed. "Yeah...it tends to just spit us out wherever it wants to." She chuckled lightly remembering some adventures her mom had had while they waited for anyone else. "You know my mom used to travel this thing. The first time she went through she ended up in a lake pointed in the wrong direction!" She set her bag down and put her hands on her hips. "At least we're on solid surface!" She flashed a smile at them and popped her hips.

Ava slid through the liquid easy, leaping through - taking a deep breath before she went through. She managed to land on her feet, which was just mostly luck. She shook her bangs from out of her face, twisting the pendant in her hand. She looked around, the first thing she noticed was the icey breeze. She unzipped her bag and took out a jacket, and put it on. She stood on gray rocks, in between the cracks there was a little moss growing. She smiled, looking around to see who else was there. "Wow" she said, inhaling deeply, the air was so clean, it wasn't full of smog like on earth, it was almost sweet. "The air here is so different.." she couldn't help saying out loud.

Sam-
She brushed off a few specks of dirt from her pants before straightening back up. "Yep. No cars, no planes, nothing. They barely have a working telephone here!" He laughed turning her cell off from inside her pocket. As they stood there the breeze picked up considerably and plastered her coat against her side. She slid on her gloves and tightened her jacket a bit. "All the snow's over there." She pointed to a huge mountain range behind them. The mountains stretched all around the gate and ran as far as she could see into the horizon. Grey clouds rolled across the sky and a drop of rain fell on her nose. "This is the lowest part of this world so it only rains here but only snows everywhere else..." She quickly wiped her nose so it wouldn't go cold. "So, shall we explore?"
