((That's exactly what I thought when listening to them xD))
Arthur found himself shrugging, as it wasn't the easiest thing for him to discern between France's attempts at messing with him, and his serious moments. At least, when it came to the subject of topic. Plus, again, with all their bickering and fighting, he thought the task that Francis had made for himself was too difficult to follow through with. Arthur had an issue trusting anyone, as even his family disliked him. He had a very small number of true friends, aside from his mythical creatures. But he could only discuss with them in private; otherwise, everyone called him crazy and made fun of his 'hallucinations'. It hurt when they did that, just another reason for his lack of trust, and failure to open up to anyone. "You can't blame me... You joke around a lot about things like this. I figured it was another game of yours." He responded, his hand absently pulling at the end of his dress shirt, a bit of it sticking out from beneath his blazer. "Well if you didn't know already, I'm the type of person who prefers to read a book to the end in one go. Of course, I take a short break for tea sometimes... But otherwise, I don't need to put the book down until I finish the last page." He told the other, figuring that France might have already guessed that, but it never hurt to explain. However, the Frenchman's next reply made his gaze break away from that of the other's near-immediately. That had most definitely been a compliment, and one that had made that ever so bothersome blush return to his pale cheeks. "D-don't say that... My eyes are ordinary; just green." He tried to deny France's words. Luckily for him he'd gained a distraction, what with Prussia calling over as he had. It surprised him really, that he had heard him somehow. "Sure, Prussia... I believe you." He called back sarcastically, chuckling a little before resuming conversation with Francis. "Then I may only be in there at ten or later... Unless I somehow pick up an affinity for you three and your volume and rowdiness, which I highly doubt..." He concluded, though he still refused to look France in the eye after the whole compliment thing. He wasn't used to it from Francis, behavior like that, so he hadn't even known how to respond correctly. He'd done what he usually did; blew it off. He was thankful, however, for Prussia's presence currently. It was keeping him from having to look at France, whereas now he had the option of directing his gaze onto Gilbert, which he opted to in a flash as soon as he was near them. "Oh really now? Is that even remotely possible for you, because I can't say I know anyone nearly as awesome as you." He couldn't help but tease the albino, though it was in good humor. "Even at your lowest level of awesome, I'd say you'd still be too distracting." He added with a chuckle.
