Kate walked up to a rundown apartment that was now familiar to her. She walked past the always sleeping attendant and took the stairs to the fourth floor. She stopped in front of room 401. She paused and pressed her ear against the door. She heard a young boy's voice. "MOM! Chase pushed me!" he was complaining. "I did not!" the other boy yell. Kate dropped the bag, knocked quickly and turned running to the stairs her eyes watering. She started down the stairs when she heard her name being yelled. "Kate!"
