Anubis followed her. 'Is that where your bank account is?'

Katie shook her head. "I moved to Germany a few years ago when my grandmother wasn't doing very well, and I've lived here ever since, so my bank account and everything else is here. Actually, I pretty much moved here after my parents died, and my grandma getting sick happened shortly after. So, I figured I could make a new life here in Germany and be here with my grandmother as she passed." she said and walked forward in line. "Oh, and everything that was in my bank account in America got transferred to the one here."

'Okay. Just making sure.' Anubis looked out the store windows and into the mall. He noticed that it was brighter, and guessed it was almost noon.

Katie got to the front of the line and checked out. The store clerk handed her back two huge bags filled with clothes and everything else. Katie grabbed the bags and her purse, and walked outside the store. "Want to stop at the food court for lunch?" she asked.

'Sure,' Anubis said. 'What do you want to eat? And want me to carry those bags?'

Katie thought for a moment. "I'm not sure... And nah, it's fine for now. I'll carry them until my arms get tired, hand them to you, then I'll carry them again once my arms aren't tired anymore" she said with a small laugh. "I'll probably end up eating a slice of pizza or something. What did you want to eat?" she asked.
