Being that she was slung practically over Conner's shoulder, she couldn't see anything. But the urgency in Cadyn's voice made her nervous. Her tail was bleeding, she could feel it. Her tail drooped, too much energy to hold it up.

His words didn't process. But she didn know what he was referring to. She sped like a canon towards the man. Even though he was going no where, her instincts took over. She shot out of the water with him in between her jaws. And like nothing, her ate him. But this didn't fill her. Her eyes were pure black, just like the deepest part of the ocean. She wanted, no, needed more blood. More taste of it, more flesh. Her eyes darted around, looking for her next target, and only finding one. Cadyn.

Connor gave a swift nod before he began to swim away, one of his many talents, he was one of the fastest, other than the royal family, in most of the kingdom. He held gently to Mercedes, staying quiet except for the occasional, "I've got you." To sooth the pained female.

Andrea nodded at the command, keeping a safe distance but she was ready to attack if instructed or if she must.

Mercedes gaped at his speed and clung to him, trying not to get lost in the current. A fast moving target, what sharks craved. 'Cadyn, be careful..' She sent telepathically. Her eyes were pained and she could see everything behind them.

Cadyn growled, the sound low and chock full of warning as he bared his teeth in instinctual display. He knew that look on the seemingly expressionless face. He was being sized up and knew it full well but he wasn't afraid of her...after all he wouldn't be much of a Mer Prince if he didn't know how to fight or defend himself. "You don't want to go there Eden" she may be his friend and comrade but he had no qualms about putting her in her place. If those pearly whites of hers tried to take a bite out of his then his pretty little claws that other shark shifters had teased him over were going to latch onto the skin of her side and dig deep. He wouldn't tear into her..that wasn't the point of this. Instead he would press his body lengthwise into her and then bite into the thick but sensitive skin covering her gills before he flipped her to her back so that she was belly up. It was a dominant practice similar to that of other sharks...he had been taught by his father how to subdue shifters without doing lasting harm.

Confusion was clouding her mind. That and rage. could she control herself? Instinct was rushing within her, but her rational mind was also battling. Hunger and blood thirst was all that filler her mind. But there was a tiny moment of thinking. Too bad it was tiny. Without hesitation, she charged rapidly at Cadyn.

Mercedes let out a barely audible screech of terror at the sight behind them. "Cadyn!" She tried to yell, but came out as barely a whisper. She was so tired.

Confusion was cloudinng her mind. That and rage. could she control herself? Instint was rushing within her, but her rational mind was also battling. This was not going to work. Instead, she started to struggle, hard. She didn't like this one bit and she was not going to go down without a fight. Her body flaied as she tried to get him off of her.

Cadyn

Cadyn growled and dug his claws in deeper until she started to bleed slightly. He bit again into her gills and managed to muscle her onto her back before he climbed on top of her once more. If it weren't for the fact that he was fighting possibly for his life, he might then be embarrassed about how she was pressed into the sensitive scales of his tail. His claws readjusted and grasped her thick skin on either side of her just above her pectoral fins. He had to be careful lest he fall to his own primal urges and tear into her.

Andrea watched helplessly, not knowing if she should attack or not.

Conner just kept moving, "They'll be fine, he has Andrea nad he is the prince." He reminded her as the drew closer to the city.
