Cyrus frowned. "He did send me messages for a time but I'd never heard of his death. I tried to keep tabs on him but gave the man his privacy after the first and second courier was sent away. Murdered you say? How and by whom? We had heard of a group of rogues killing a drake but never who that drake was. The ring leader was put through...interrogation before being publicly executed but two or three of the followers are still in prison I beleive."

Cadyn growled a bit as aggression flooded him at this revelation. Was it possible that some of those b@st@rds were still alive? His teeth were bared in his sudden anger and he licked over them as he contemplated what he wanted to do.

[silence.]

"A few rogue Mer wanted scales. I... don't know how they could have managed to take him down. He always... seemed so strong, then, you know?" Tempest closed his eyes, "He was vicious with his foes. I... I remember that. How could they have gotten they have gotten the better of him?" Shaking his head, he gave a small, shaky smile, "It's... comforting to know he was kindhearted when you knew him. And that he loved my mother. I think... I think her not being there broke him. I think that's why he never returned messages, after a while."

((My mom is kicking me off the computer. So... goodnight. I might be online, like, waaaay late for a reply. Or early in the morning. If not, expect me here somewhere between 3 and 4 PM, tomorrow.))

((Nothing really happened, Cadyn showed Tempest around, they found out Cyrus knew Tempest's father and now they're chatting
my last post to you was:))

"My brother hit him when he saw my bruises, but sadly my brother can't do much else considering he is the second youngest in the family. And honestly, this is nothin' my father hasn't done before." Starfish said with a faint smile "Tempest is a sea drake and one awesome creature!" Starfish said in answer to Ariana's question "He made my father nearly faint." Starfish said with a soft laugh

Ariana let out a soft laugh of her own as Starfish said that Tempest had nearly made her dad faint. "Well at least no one got hurt to seriously, at least, by the sounds of it anyway." she replied with a smile. Her gaze flickered towards the palace for a moment. She should probably be getting back but was quite enjoying being able to talk to someone who wasn't just there to keep an eye on her.

Starfish, noticing the glance, smiled softly. "You have to go, right?" She asked her pale grey eyes twinkling. she backed up a "step" and tilted her head, the brilliant blue streak in her right eye catching the light "You are... different I imagined you to be... I-I mean you are much different than your brother." Starfish said with a soft sigh.

"I probably should be heading back." Ariana replied with a reluctant sigh as she turned her full attention back to Star. She let out a soft laugh at her comment. "Quite a lot of people say that when they start speaking to me." She replied with a smile. "I think most others tend to end up meeting my brother first so all assume that my sister and I will be just like him, which you can see isn't the case."

"Well, that means you should get out more, meet everybody first, so that people will assume he is like you." Starfish teased, flicking her tail. It rippled like a tidal wave, the black tips curling towards her body. Starfish smiled "It seems as though you make friends really easily." Starfish said with a grin. Star realized with a start that she did consider Ariana as a friend.

Ariana couldn't help but laugh at this. "Believe me, I've tried." She replied teasingly. "And I quite often do, I guess I just find it quite easy to talk to people." She agreed with a smile. She liked Star, she seemed to be really friendly and didn't keep talking to her as if she was a royal. She treated her like a friend would. She started absentmindedly twirling a strand of hair around her finger. "Would you like to come to the palace with me for a bit?" She asked, wondering what she would say.

Starfish was startled by the question, her eyes widening just a bit. Was she honestly inviting someone like Star into the palace? Starfish regained her composure and nodded "I would love to." She said with a smile. Her tail flicked again as a sudden thought dawned on her- her father would be really angry about this. But, shaking her head she smiled to herself. Her father wouldn't rule her life, She decided, as she absently stroked the starfish that hung around her throat.
