Shuang could remember little aside from floating in and out of a state of sleep and wakefulness so many times that she couldn't tell which was a dream and which was reality. Her first time was her waking in a state of panic. She screamed at the top of her lungs, kicking out at the nurses that came to her aid, and fear spiking her blood pressure. She had to be restrained by at least several of their staff as she screamed and violently kicked out. They pulled a mask over her mouth and her vision grew blurry as she fell back into a state of sleep.
The small city of Beijing was motionless, absolutely still. Hours on hours passed and once more, conciousness came to Shuang. Her eyelids flittered open, and she could only stare at the ceiling. Her good eye was only given enough energy to open halfway, while her other was shrouded in dsrkness.
Shuang could tell that she was in a hospital, but she couldn't move. For some reason it was though everything below her neck was numb, every nerve ending dead. Her brown orbs were dull, each breath was a difficult attempt. She couldn't even look, but assumed that she had more circuitry than a japanese computer. She could hear talking all around her, and it could've been directed towards her, but she didn't respond. It seemed like every bit of spirit that the Chinese warrior once claimed with pride was virtually gone. She was silent.

❝Is it true? True love only exists in fairytales?❞
