Serena gently poked one of the things on her face as Nattalie told her something about brain activity and followed her gaze to the machine with strange lines which went up and down. The girl nodded as Nattalie ordered her to shift and the girl shifted carefully, though her paws soon got trapped in the wires which walked from her face to the machine.

Blaise

Bliase raised his head from what the tape measure he was fiddling with, looking at her. He was pleased to see she had sat down, and her question sunk in. "Just the basics. Measurements, and seeing you shift. Then I'll probably measure your animal form," he explained, lifting the tape measure up for emphasis.

Alexia nodded thoughtfully. Perhaps she would finally get a nice scientist. 'I'm not going to hope... Because then if he really is mean it'll shock me all the more...' she thought, but couldn't hide from herself inside that this scientist did seem rather friendly. '...Maybe hope just a little bit...'

Blaise

Blaise noted that she didn't seem like she would retaliate, and pulled the tape out, measuring her height when she was sitting. He then proceeded to measure the width from her left shoulder to her right, the length of her spine, along with other places. Noting each measurement down in a scrawl that would appear to be unreadable, he put the pen down. "Can you put your arms out straight please?" he asked.

Alexia watched curiously - when the measuring tape was in front of her, that was. She kept her head fairly straight. When the tape was behind her, she pictured in her mind what it might look like, and was satisfied enough with that. When he asked her to put her arms out straight she did so, shocked that he had asked... Or even more shocking, the fact he said please. It made her almost excited, though. What would it be like to have a nice scientist? All these thoughts made her lips go into a small smile - an emotion of which rarely crossed paths with her face.

Blaise

Blaise nodded, pleased. Holding the cool, metal end of the tape at the tip of her tallest finger, he stretched it up, glancing at the number before jotting it down. Moving the tape measure away, it wound back up with a snap, and he put it down by the counter she was sitting on. "Okay," he said, mostly to himself, before looking up. "Can you shift now please?" he asked. "Oh, wait. Do you need more space then just the counter?" he asked, thinking maybe she needed to stand on the floor or something; he wouldn't be sure.

Alexia got goosebumps down her arms at the cold touch of the metal. The place he had chosen to set the end of the tape measure made her look at the finger, pondering, until the snap. She flinched slightly; not because it was a sound she wasn't used to, but it always surprised her. She looked up at the scientist as he asked Hera question after a demand. "Yes, I would need the floor," she replied, and slid herself off the counter, walking to stand a little ways away. "Shift now?" she asked, wanting to confirm she was in the right spot and should do as he asked, in case he changed his mind. Just precautionary, nothing more. Her old scientist seemed to change his mind fairly often, so Alexia had built up the habit.

Blaise

Blaise nodded. "If you think that's a good spot- I think you'll know best, considering it's your own body," he stated, waiting. This would be the first time he had seen anyone shift, and wasn't sure what to expect. After all the movies he had watched, much to his father's disgust, when he was younger, he had a broad idea as to what might happen.

Alexia nodded. She hoped he was impressed. She closed her eyes and concentrated hard, thinking of her reflection wen in animal form. Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, and a bright flash of golden light was set off from her body. When done, a lioness stood in place, extremely close to the same colour as Alexia's hair. The whole shifting had taken around 7 seconds. The lioness looked up at the human scientist, waiting for a reaction.

Blaise

Blaise's eyes were wide, and his jaw slightly ajar. Realising he was being unprofessional, he blinked several times, pulling his mouth shut. Picking the tape measure up again, he told her he was just going to measure things. He wondered how she would react to getting her tail measured, he distantly remembered trying it once when he was little. He did not want a repeat of the incident, especially considering a lion was a wee bit bigger than a grumpy household cat.

The lion nodded and shuffled it's paws so that she was parallel to the scientist. She had managed to see the look on his face, and her jaws seemed twisted into a smile - as much of one that a lioness could get, anyway. Alexia blinked her now light brown eyes, waiting for the cold to be placed upon her back again. Her ears swivelled on her head, taking the time to listen for approaching footsteps. She heard none and stayed fairly relaxed; she never would be completely relaxed around scientists. They would always poke and prod her, making her eat odd things and injecting weird liquids into her. Having a nice scientist just made it all a little more pleasant, and Alexia would rather have a little comfort than none.
