Nattalie watched the girl in clear amusement, "everybody? Who told you that Serena?" she asked frowning a little and sitting up looking at the girl.

"My old researcher did. Though I never understood why the bird shifters test on the others. I mean, I wish I was a bird. My life would be way better then." Serena replied, staring at her feet. "I wouldn't hurt other people, no matter what animal they were."

aria smiled and wrapped herself around his finger tightly, her tail wrapped around her hand and then she held onto it tightly with one of her small hands. she then sort of nuzzled into his hand.

The scientist watched the girl in silence then and then looked up at the sky letting her mind wander for a moment. She shook her head and looked back at her, "not... not everyone is a...shifter" sh said softly.

Serena bit her lip and frowned. "How do you mean?" she asked quietly. "Everybody is a shifter. Some only have been human for too long to remember. If you don't shift you could get stuck in one form permanently. It almost happened to me. It wasn't nice, though."

A soft look climbed upon the girl's eyes and she nodded silently, "ok... I was only testing you, you're right. Everyone was once a shifter" she said, now that she knew the theory she was taught she could actually work with it. "Hum... I think it's about time for us to head in" she got up, "you feeling good? I mean, you just ate something you were not used to today... you can have a stomach ache or something.."

Serena stood up and rubbed her tummy for a moment as Nattalie asked how she felt. "Yeah. I'm fine. Never felt better, honestly." she replied, smiling softly before brushing some of her bright red hair out of her face. The girl looked up at the sun, but looked away again as it blinded her.

Nattalie nodded, "Okie dokie, that's good..." she said and smiled a little then heading towards the door, she opened it and held it open for the girl, "come on.." she said.

Serena followed Nattalie inside, biting her lip as she looked around the hallway again as she didn't knew where to go. She played with the bottom of her shirt as she hummed a random tune.
