The people who had walked past either gasped or chatted silently at the sight of kaiiyen. Two of the girls about carys age snickered.

Cary looked back towards kaiiyen and sighed, "come on." She turned and started walking up the stairs. She got to the top and yelled, "Dad!" Cause if anyone can calm a crowd it was him.

Kaiiyen frowned as two girls Cary's age snickered. She was tempted to either use or laser vision to burn their dresses slightly, or slightly use her freeze breath to make them seriously cold. But she simply looked away and headed out to the balcony next to the ballgown, ignoring the people inside, but of course with her super hearing she heard every comment they said.

Cary came back down and went over to kaiiyen on the balcony, "I dont want to be rude. But this is a very important night for my... " she almost said family, "Father and i. I know you can just spon and be in a new dress." She said quietly.

Kaiiyen, who had been staring down at the ground, looked up slightly to study the full moon when Cary spoke. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure no one was looking. No one was. She sighed and concentrated, not having quite gotten the hang of shifting clothing yet. She closed her eyes and felt fabric change. Her hair was left flowing still, and her makeup changed to light and dark green, with flecks of gold.

"Thank you." Cary said auietly and turned to walk off.

"What's it like," Kaiiyen asked quietly, "to have a father?" She was studying the moon again now.

Cary turned to look at her, "What?"

Kaiiyen looked over her shoulder at Cary before turning to face her. The fabric on her dress ruffled as it moved, creating a swishing sound. "What's it like to have a father? Is it nice?" She repeated, adding a new question. She looked over her shoulder at the moon. "I barely knew my father. All I know was is his name. Ter-El. It means 'moon'. He sent me away as an infant before my planet met its end. Kal-El doesnt know I know about Krypton. But I do." She looked back at Cary, almost expecting an answer.

"Well..." Cary said, "A father doesn't have t be your REAL father. Its whats you make of it. Any man in your life that takes care of you can be your father, think about that." she smiled and walked back inside.

Kaiiyen turned and looked up at the moon again before sighing and coming inside, finding Clark and giving him an apologetic hug.

Clark blinked in surprise as Kaiiyen hugged him before smiling and hugging her back. He pulled away and looked at her. "Like the dress." He said.
