She took a breath (it just seemed appropriate): 'We're escaping.'
Elena watched and waited for the girl's reaction, keeping her eyes trained on a spot in the wall, next to the girl's. One had to be ready for anything - right?

(Well I suppose you could.) Enola put the book down and stood up. "How?" she said, going over this in her head. The computers may have gotten weaker but they could probably still see if anyone tried to rush out. If they had a good plan, she could join them. If it was bad and she got caught, it could mean harsher measures on the rest of the Shadows. It all depended on how much the computers had degraded.
