Years into the future, humankind have discovered a parallel existence which portrays ghostly images of people and places on Earth in detail.
For a time, the humans were content with exploring and concocting theories about this strange world, full of ghostly people - content,that is, until the ghostly images started mutating.
The people, or Shadows, as they came to be known, were previously nothing but imprints of humans, who supposedly felt nothing. Then, they started to mutate, to develop a personality of their own and gain supernatural powers.
The humans started to become scared. Very scared. The solution they came up with to protect themselves from the Shadows was short term - but effective.

Sadly, I'm afraid there has to be rules at some point, and in this case, it's after this little paragraph. However, don't be disheartened - there will be plenty of fun stuff to do as we'll. PLEASE READ - Please try and write 5+ sentences, with correct spelling and grammar (although of course occasional mistakes are fine – after all, no one’s perfect).
Obey all of Tess’ rules.
Please tell me if you're not going to be able to post for more than a week.
I may ask you to write more in your posts or touch up on your grammar if I feel it’s necessary – please don’t feel like you’ve been banned or anything.
Please use (parentheses/brackets) or [square brackets] when in OOC.
You’re welcome to chat in OOC, but don’t fight.
Please try and keep the genders even – I don’t want to restrict it to one.
Don’t make characters a werewolf or vampire - I don’t mind if they can shapeshift into a wolf, or grow fangs, just not exactly that, if you know what I mean. Shapeshifters, please restrict what you can shift into, for instance all birds, or just 3 or 4 animals.
Currently, I’d rather you didn’t make more than four characters. PM me if you’d like to make more.
Now you’re over the hard bit, you can get down to making your characters and all the rest of it! If you don’t feel like writing a whole lot, then you’re welcome to leave personality out – I’m sure we’ll get the idea after the first few posts. Please read the rules above, and if I think your character is too powerful, I may ask you to tone their powers down a little (thanks!).
A surname will not be necessary (although you can add a 'nickname' surname if you know what I mean). Please add a number, preferably below 200 to the end of your character's name, adding a 0 on the beginning if necessary (003, 117, 085).
You’re welcome to use your own form, as long as it includes name, age and looks.
