[Kanaria]

Roger remained asleep looking, as she moved her arms closer to Lestrade. One hand rested by the bottom of his shirt.

[EO+RS]

Lestrade watched Roger, his hands instinctively going to rest by hers. He sighed, hoping that if she was dreaming it was a good dream.

[Kanaria]

Roger pulled her hands up, taking up a wad of his shirt to her face. She sighed a little, still pretending to sleep.

[EO+RS]

Lestrade chuckled. "Are you sure you're still asleep?" he said, smiling.

[Kanaria]

Roger didn't even twitch a muscle at this. Her breathing remained even and steady, and as she had figured out she sleep talked, she responded with a muffled. "Yes.'

[EO+RS]

Lestrade frowned. He supposed that he had heard her sleep talking before."Well, then. I suppose that when you are awake you'll never tell me about these." He gently took her hand, turning her wrist outwards to look at it. Those marks... standing out more now against the reddened skin... "Why would you, of all people..." he began the question but never ended it, assuming she was still asleep.

[Kanaria]

"I couldn't cry." Roger responded, softly as if she where still sleeping. "Yet the pain was there, wanting to get out. What could I do?"

[EO+RS]

"You could trust me enough to tell me about it." replied Lestrade, not caring if she was awake or asleep anymore. "Please. I want to know what's hurting you so I can make it stop."

[Kanaria]

"I do trust you." Roger replied. "But I have trouble trusting myself. Sometimes I think it's myself, other times I think it's my mother. What is hurting me? If I only knew..."

[EO+RS]

"Forget your mum." said Lestrade, anger suddenly filling him. "She's caused you enough pain."
