Roger nodded slightly. "My mother," She said softly. "Was often called sassy. I hate to think I act like her."

[EO+RS]

Lestrade nodded. "Do you want to tell me about it?" he asked softly. "Or would you rather I do something else?"

[Kanaria]

Roger paused, and lifted her chin up to stare at something on the wall. "What is there to tell?" She asked. "It's not like there is some huge story about it. It's quite simple. My mother was sassy, and people told her she was sassy. I don't want to be like her, but no matter how hard I try... I end up being like her."

[EO+RS]

"What was your mother like? Because I can't believe that you ended up like her, when you hate her so much." said Lestrade, his hand softly going to her shoulder.

[Kanaria]

Roger flicked his hand off, turning to him violently. "I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT HER!" She yelled, voice fading out at the highest bits.

[EO+RS]

Lestrade put his hands up, taking a step back. "I- I'm sorry." he said, blinking. "I didn't know..."

[Kanaria]

Roger glared at him, her arms crossed tight. "Why would you even think I wanted to talk about her?" She snapped.

[EO+RS]

Lestrade shrugged. "It always helped me to talk about the things that made me want to curl up and die." he said simply. "I was trying to just be there for you." his arms fell to his sides limply.

[Kanaria]

Roger looked away, having unfolded her arms she was now pulling at her wrists. "I-I'm sorry." She said. "I shouldn't have yelled at you."

[EO+RS]

Lestrade shook his head. "I was being an idiot." he informed her. "I should've realized you didn't want to..." he tried not to look at what Roger was doing, because she was already so badly off right then. He pulled his thoughts together and finished his sentence. "...didn't want to talk about it."
