Bio: her parents didn't expect her, and her father ditched her mother when she was born. She's never seen him. Her mother didn't pay much attention to her either, and took off three years before the appearance of the shooting star, when Gemma was 12. Up until then, Gemma was a normal, talkative and semi-happy kid, but since then she's lost interest in communicating and enjoys her own company the most. When her mom left, Gemma was left to fend for herself.

Personality: Somewhat like his ability, Hawk is secretive and doesn't get on with people. But once he makes friends, he is a totally different person. Kind, playful, brave. He would rather die than have his friends die.
Bio: (Short story but with a few details) Hawk was abandoned at birth, his mother was too poor, and his father abused them both. When his father was murdered, his mother sold him to the highest bidder, who then left him on the streets. Once grown up, he found out that his mother had died. He was lying in a park when he saw the star, but then suddenly, he was surrounded by blackness. He thought he had died. Once he had calmed down, the darkness ebbed away to reveal the necklace, burning on his skin.

Power: Healing and the power of flight.
Personality: A funny, energetic person. She is one of those people that can be shlopped with a bucket of mud and still come out laughing. She dislikes people that are a shallow, always thinking about how they look and stuff. Other than that, she gets along pretty well with everybody else.
Bio: Summer tried to be everything that her dad wanted her to be, but she couldn't handle a full house-hold, keep her father from drinking too much, and stay on with school. She ran away, taking her books, as much food as she could carry, and her mom's ring. When she was hit with the beam of light, she didn't know what had happened, just something big. Seeing the necklace, she immediately recognized something of value, and keeps it hidden in case some mugger tryed to rob her.
