Alyssa watched the girl climb the tree next to her with shaky breath. She was far too scared to try to move. Maybe if she kept still, she wouldn't be seen... But the girl let out a small scream when she looked up and saw Alyssa. Alysaa would've also screamed, but she couldn't make a sound. She caught her breath. The other girl was trying to hide, so it was unlikely she'd be attacked. "Hi," she said softly, cautious. "I'm Alyssa. I won't hurt you unless you attack me."

Angela cursed herself. I'm such a coward! Now I've been seen!Then she realized what the girl had said. "Oh.. I'm Angela. And I surely won't attack you." Angela's voice was quiet and small but it carried just enough for Alyssa to hear.

Alyssa smiled at Angela's response. "Good," she said, making sure to keep her voice down. "How old are you? What's your district?"

Angela was happy she finally had someone nice to talk to. "I just turned twelve. I'm in District nine. What about you?" Angela noticed how her leg was propped up. "Is something wrong with your ankle or leg or something?" Angela's emerald green eyes were wide with concern.

"I'm from District 8, land of cloth," said Alyssa. "And my leg's fine, I think. But my ankle might be sprained. I'm sure it'll be fine in a few days. You seem a little young to be in the Games," she added. "At least you got out of the Cornucopia fine." She glanced back towards the shining golden horn, where the Careers still lurked.

Bella smirked a tiny smile. "I'm so scared that i'll die." She said in an ok acting voice. "What if we have to kill each other in the end?" She tried to act sappy, but wasn't sure if she was doing ok.

She winked and then frowned. "I'm afraid if it comes to that I would let you win and sacrifice myself for someone as oure and innocent as you." she wept and clutched her stomach as if she had an illness. She quickly dipped her hand in some of the ferret blood that was in her back, and smothered it on her chest. "I'm afraid I was shot with an arrow, and I pulled it out before I got here.." she closed her eyes. "If only.. I had something to help it at least not feel like fire, so I can help you live for as long as I can.." she whispered, her face directly at the camera.

A devious smile formed on Arctic’s face as she raised her spear, twirled it in the air once, and then pointed the sharp end at the District Five boy’s neck. She was impressed with the gentleman attitude combined with obvious strength of her fellow Careers, and decided that they likely deserved her respect and loyalty immediately; she would give them the benefit of the doubt, as long as they didn’t do anything ridiculous to break her allegiance. After all, she had always been a Career by birth -- and a Career at heart as well. After her critical, dark gaze swept over the weakened boy, examining him, she turned to face her colleagues.

“Yes,” the raven-haired girl began with the radiant grin still on her face, “I will certainly do the honors for you. I appreciate that you so kindly brought down this potential future murder victim for your ally.” She articulated every word, emphasizing ‘potential future murder victim’ and feeling a sense of victory blossom inside her as she saw the irrational, blind, unbridled terror in the boy’s face in her peripheral vision. Then, the fifteen-year-old turned to the District Five boy, directing her satirical and now emotionless gaze towards him, and then she spoke. “Any last words?” When she did not receive an answer from the stunned tribute within a radius of around two or three seconds, the girl thrust her spear forward, impaling his throat on it. She watched as the life faded from his eyes, savoring the moment, then swiveled to see the other two Careers again.

Recognition flashed in Arctic’s eyes for a heartbeat’s time, as she remembered her education with Beck in the grade directly above hers. He had always been quite popular from what she’d seen, and his arrogance appeared to be relatively reasonable due to his high level of achievement. Regarding Aaron, he seemed to be a respectable individual, probably a proficient leader for the Careers. From the short time the girl had gotten to know her fellow tributes, she had found out at least one distinct trait from each of the Careers; Aaron was prominently wise and possessed leadership skills that were at least satisfactory, if not phenomenal. It was undeniable that his personality made for a great person, and the girl with the ebony hair hoped that it wouldn’t go to waste. With that thought, she decided that she wouldn’t want Beck to die, either, but it was unfortunate that there could be only one victor.

“Thank you for allowing me this spectacular opportunity.” Arctic commentated, smiling in a sickeningly sweet manner and performing an exaggerated curtsy; it was quite difficult to tell if she was bowing in a gesture of respect, or if it was sarcasm, or a combination of the two. Her next words, however, were sincere and made it clear that she was genuine.

“I am looking forward to co-operating with you in the future.”

Bella almost giggled. She starred at the camera, a sad look on her face. "If only we had more Sponsors." She said, directly at the camera.
