"I have no idea." Corvo said distantly, engaged in a tense stare down with the man. He snarled at the man through the glass, falling dead silent when he saw another couple of men emerge from the trees around them. "Something tells me they aren't girl scouts wanting to sell us cookies." he said warily.

Clara felt her hackles raise. "I agree."

"But how could they find us!?" River exclaimed, jumping off the couch,"I was so careful!"

Corvo dropped down from the windowsill stiffly. The man had a familiar look to them, the slight differences from any normal human. "That's not the problem right now. Stay down and call for me if anything happens, River. Clara, we have a job to do." he padded over to the door, bouncing up to paw it open. He left it open only a crack, if he was going to step outside, he would charge and not give the hunters a chance to react.

Axess got up rubbed his cheek and turned to her.He had a smirk on his face when he saw her face."So i do make you..Uneasy."He said smiling.He flated his shirt and pants back into place.

Sparks of electricity bounced off of Taru as her anger rose. "Of course you make me uneasy! You're a hunter, idiot!" she snapped, clenching her fists. Oh how she could just shock that smirk off of his face. "When a hunter tries to touch me, I'm going to get defensive!" she snapped fiercly.

Corvo whined pathetically when River spoke. "You're no fun." he couldn't help his soft chuckle that broke through his defenses. He nodded his head forwards. "It's just up here, Clara." he responded right as River's house became visible through the trees. His tongue flopped out of his mouth and his tail began to wave happily. Only a short distance between him and a soft bed.

"Is that the only reason? or is it some thing else?"He said looking up at her with his red eyes and a smirk."Well i better get going unless you want me to stay?'He said running a hand down his gray hair.He gently chuckled as a thought came to his head.

Hotaru's blush deepened with his words, only making her more annoyed and agitated with Axess. "You should definitely leave now." she snarled, fighting back whatever part of her did wish for him to stay longer. He seemed different. Smug, but different. That intrigued her, the fact that he wasn't a hunter out to cut off her head as a trophy.
