Guardian
Zach had his jaws locked around the hunter's neck who pleaded for mercy. The lion felt for him, he really did. If it were not embedded in the codes of his DNA, he probably wouldn't have killed the man. His jaws snapped down forcefully, a level of ruthlessness to the action. When the Guardian lifted his head at last, the human was no longer moving. Zach stepped away in disgust. There was a small cut under his left eye and a few more along his sides. Nothing was bad enough to cause him any crippling discomfort, though.
The only remaining hunter yelped as he clung to the ground for dear life. "Please! Stop this!" he pleaded desperately, having a quick change in character. "You don't have to kill me! I will leave you alone, I promise!" he cried out, his voice rushed and fearful. His hazel eyes reflected the fear. He didn't want to die. Not yet.
