Every time that Beth found a gear or a screw, she would shove it into her poach, a smallish tan leather back that's strap went across her chest. Finally, the bag was full up and she headed back to her shanty.

(Bye! I'll be on for around 3 more hours. Maybe 4 XD)

While rummaging for scraps, Twill saw a girl looking around for something at the base of the heap. Jumping down, he landed a few feet away from her. "Hello there," he said. "My name's Twill. Nice to meet ya," he said, taking off his glove and reaching his hand out for a handshake.

Llanni sat at her workbench, now done with what she was fixing, and began tinkering on her portable radio projector, which was issued to all citizens. In case of some sort of emergency, it would blare out like an alarm.
(Hey does anyone else want to work at the repair shop with Llanni as the boss?)

Beth looked at him with alarm. He was a large amount taller than herself and he look a little, well, mad. "Um, I'm Beth." She said in a soft, tense voice. She took his hand and gave him a firm handshake. Her other hand was already reaching for her knives.

"Nice to meet you, Beth," Twill said politely, as his mom had taught him when he was little. Life was hard enough in this junk pile of a city as it was, he didn't need any enemies. Not that he didn't have any, of course. Someone always has an enemy. But he preferred friends. "Looking for anything in particular?" He asked, gesturing to the large junk pile.

Beth smiled at him, maybe he wasn't as bad she had thought. She shrugged at him and patted her bag. "I was looking for a 19mm machine screw. Just hoping that one of these is the right size." She gestured to him. "What about you?"

"I see you found lots," Twill pointed out, noting how full the bag was. "If you're looking for machine screws there's a place not far from here that has tons, and they are easier to find then here," he said. "As for me, I'm working on this thing I found in a large pile of metal by the old hospital," he said, pulling a sheet of old, shiny paper from his jacket. On it was an ancient picture of what was called a "car", according to the writing on the sheet. "So I'm looking for some parts."

Beth turned her head on her side. It was the oddest looking thing she had seen. "What does it do?" She wondered out loud. She pointed to a piece called a "bumper". "I saw something like that over there." She pointed to the pile she had just been on. "Let me show you."

"Yes, please!" Twill said excitedly, running after her. "Thanks, that's actually one of the many pieces I need!" He exclaimed, examining the bumper. "And this is a "car". Before all the wars, apparently we used these every day to transport ourselves and our goods around. A human would sit here," he said, pointing to the wheel, "and tell the car where to go. I'm planning to make it work." He said. "Of course, it would need some adjustments, but I think I can manage that. Llanni will be so mad when she finds out that I'm not looking for springs, though," he thought out loud, thinking about his sister, how she was stuck in her plywood mess of a workshop, repairing things for mere pennies.

Beth leapt over random pieces of scrap. "They would just tell it where to go? That is awesome." She pointed to a flat, curved piece of rusted metal. "Is that it?" She tried to pick it up but it was muck heavier than she thought it would be. "Who's Llanni?" She asked, genuinely curious. This boy was much more interesting than the normal scavengers.
