"Yup," she called back. She planned to try and retreat back a few slow steps at a time, shooting down attackers but still trying to make progress towards where Vesta had gone. She'd followed the traces of Vesta in her mind, and had a path to follow for later when she got the signal. She was hoping that Vesta would be as clever as she seemed to be, and would be perfectly able to find a way of signalling her. She hoped.
A creature popped into view, it's mouth open and full of jagged things. It went down with a snarl and a thump.
