> > Habristiel Took
Habristiel hadn't seen Bilbo coming, if she had, she would've backed away, but she was too late. His arms looped around her and she stiffened immediately in his grasp. What he said, what he said made her shoulders droop from their defences, and her head to suddenly fall. To be held like this, in such a tight, and warm embrace. It had been too long for her, too long in Habristiel's eyes indeed. She hestitated, but slowly, she managed to wrap her arms around his back loosely and realized that she hadn't felt this in ages. Her eyes softened, then began to water. "No it isn't Bilbo... I-I can't," she began before tears ruptured from her eyes and despite her attempts to stop it, tears rolled down her cheek. "I wouldn't... It's too hard."
Shesqueezed her eyes shut and knew that she had to make a descision. Habristiel had to tell him, and stop all of this. It tore her to shreds, but she couldn't let him down. She couldn't fail Bilbo too. If she ever did, it truly would hurt worse than any imaginable pain. Slowly, she pushed herself away and llooked into his eyes feeling heart-broken.
Carefully, her hand lifted and touched his cheek. Habristiels eyes shut again, and she opened them to see Bilbo's. She whispered again,"You are too precious to me, to see you get hurt. I-I can't..." She cried in a whisper before she leaned forward and put her forhead to his before she sobbed and sank, her head then dropping as she whispered,"Why can't you understand. Understand that I can't do this for reasons beyond my explanation. Please stop making it so hard. I'm begging you." Whimpering, she felt coughes comign on and did her best to hold them in, to hide them from Bilbo. She couldn't do this to him. Habristiel wanted to go on a journey. One all the way to the Misty Mountains. If he knew she was ill, he would refuse to take her along, She couldn't.
