HOUSE OF WAR (One-on-one, COME ON JIZABEL!)

[Rikihara Tai]

"Fredric! I AM Suzaku! Suzaku IS me! We're the same person! The person you're familiar with is the lighter half, named 'Suzaku'. He's the dominant one! I'm the darker half, the one that only appears in times of extreme need. I'm named Kouzusa! I exist solely to protect Suzaku! The light cannot live without the dark! Think about that, Fredric!" Kouzusa snarled.

"Oh, Ra above, please let this work!" Raikou prayed fervently.

[Jizabel (Ephona)]

Fredric leaned in to tear at his arm. Inches away, he paused. The black fur on his ears and across his face was pulled back into his skin. His ears grew back to their normal white-and-pink cups. Slowly, he pulled himself away from Kozusa. His eyes now shone a bronze color. "L...like me with Mouse and Badger...?"

Akuji could only watch nervously. The steady heart monitor kept up for moments until it finally skipped it's pattern. His heart was beating faster. The scales around his body were slowly beginning to either fall off or sink back into his skin to become fleshy and pink again.

[Rikihara Tai]

"Yes! Exactly like that! Both of us inhabit this body and I am only allowed to come out when Suzaku cannot maintain our body! Only when he needs me!" Kouzusa hissed, his dark emerald eyes narrow and deathly focused.

"Oh Ra . . . ." Sebastian breathed.

[Jizabel (Ephona)]

Jack slowly slipped himself away from Fredric. Fredric shyed away, beginning to cry. "I...I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I...I almost..."

Akuji lept up in the air. "SUCCESS!"
The cry alerted Ran. She picked up Capricia by her waist and ran down the stairs. "What's going on?"

[Rikihara Tai]

"We've done it, Onee-san!" Ty squealed, throwing herself at her sister. "Liam's going to be just fine!"

Kouzusa sighed, walking up to Fredric, wrapping his lanky arms around the boy. "It's alright. I'm not the side of Suzaku that you would want to get to know anyways."

[Jizabel (Ephona)]

"Yep. He's home free!"
Ran let out a happy squeal and embraced herself in her 'sister's' arms.

Fredric sniffed. "Suzaku and I...we're so alike...I never knew that...I'm sorry."

[Rikihara Tai]

"Suzaku knows that. That's why he felt a certain special kin-ship with you. It made him want to take care of you, to help you, to love you. Suzaku is the one who truely cares for you. I . . . ." Kouzusa trailed off, his eyes closing. "I can't pretend that I have any love in my heart . . . ."

"He should wake up in a few hours." Raikou said with a heavy sigh of relief.

[Jizabel (Ephona)]

"Well...if it helps, Badger can't find a way to love Suzaku either." He chuckled a bit.
Actually that's a lie...
Oh no it's not you rascal...
...okay. It's true.

"Oh thank you!" Ran glomped Raikou, completely ignoring all she knew about his mannerisms and comfort zone.

[Rikihara Tai]

Raikou froze for a second, but hesitantly willed himself into relaxation, and accepted the hug.

Kouzusa smiled a little. "Suzaku wants to wake up now. So I'm going to let him. It was nice to meet you . . . Fredric." With those words, Kouzusa's breathing became almost nonexistant, and his hair lightened a shade, as the aura of cold steel melted away into one of warm pleasentness. Suzaku let out a low groan as his head throbbed with a massive headache, and his now-lighter green eyes blinked open.
