Jack smirked darkly as he yanked Serena up, getting the knife out of her pocket before she realized it and held it against her throat. He held Serena tightly and pushed the knife a bit tighter against her neck so Rhido could get Kaala out.

Ashwyn- Jack wouldn't really do that to Serena, would he? I thought, furrowing my brow in confusion, though I didn't want to test his threats either... It was like being given a gun and aiming it at the one you loved most, being forced to fire without knowing if the gun had any bullets. I blinked then realised that Jack had Rena, I reached out and opened my mouth to protest but I didn't do or say anything.

Rhido dragged Kaala out as she woke up and he immediately covered her ears, stopping anyone being able to give her orders.

Jack took his gun from the girl and hit the her on the head with it, knocking her out. He closed the door of Ashwyn's cage, kicking the limp body of Serena. "What to do... What to do..." he muttered, trying to find something which would hurt Ash even more as it hurted her. He crouched at her side, thinking.
