After a week or two had passed, it became apparent that something was going on. Nobody, not even the ANBU, hjad seen Kazumi anywhere. Infact, there hadn't been any suspicions of her killing either. That in itself was odd. But the one question probignt he ANBU's minds wwas this- Where on earth was she?

Shuuka however, had been slowly improving to her normal happy moods once more, and now seemed as though nothign was bothering her, though it is most likely that something was.

Kankuro sighed as he looked around, he was assigned to being an escort, his favorite.....note the sarcasm. He walked along side the old Chiyo lady as they traveled to the surrounding villages.

Gaara walked the streets of his village, his thoughts were the same of his ANBU. Was Kazumi gone? permanently?

Kazumi, unbeknownst to the ANBU which were standing guard around the village due to the suspicions, was waiting, concealed in shadows. She didn't notice that Gaara was nearby, because she wasn't looking for him. She was fucussed on a man who was walking with his head down, his face not visible. He wasn't arousing any suspicion or anything...
Suddenly, he was speared straight through the heart, killing him instantly by a fast dark shadow. The ANBU instantly looked up.
Kazumi gave them a rather innocent smile, and shrugged. "What? That guy was a criminal. Just because I haven't shown up for a while doesn't mean you can shift your priorities."

One of the higher members of the ANBU squads seemed to be in a rush as he hurried down the streets, bumping into Gaara because of it. He turned.
"Oh, sorry, Lord Gaara. I'm in a hurry. There have been some reports of a couple of men just outside the village participating in some sort of suspicious activity, you see." He explained with a nod.

Gaara looked at the guy, before following, to see what he was talking about.

Temari was already at the scene.

Sure enough, there were two men just outside the village gates. Both were acting suspicious, and seemed to be garsding something behind them which thery would not let Temari see. Whenever she even tried to get near, they'd simply force her back.
"Oh no you don't lady, we aint' lettin' you screw this operation up now" One said, a growl in his voice. The other one was beginning to gte skittish and nervous.
"No no no, if we don't finish this then boss'll kill us!"

Gaara soon arrived, he glared at the two men, his blank eyes seemingly staring into their soul. If looks could kill....

The males looked up, and one groaned. "Oh great. Now we're screwed. We aint' never gonna get this done on time!" he whined. the other sighed, thinking fotr a moment.
"Oh trust me, we will... We just gotta call on a little backup is all." he smirked. Suddenly, ghis chakra spiked in an odd way which shouldn't be possible for a human, but apparently was.
Then, a shadow fell across the area, the darkness pulling back to reveal the girl whom had been supposedly gone for good. She didn't look too happy to have been disturbed, either, as she threw a glare worse than Gaara's at the males, before sighing in frustration.
"I gotta do everything myself, don't I...?" She muttered sourly, boredly looking to Gaara, Temari, and the ANBU member.
"I'm gonna have to ask you three to back off. Please don't make me result to force, I really can't be arsed." She said simply.

Gaara narrowed his eyes slightly, "what are you doing here Kazumi." he asked, not moving, his anbu did the same.

Temari swore slightly, "Dammit gaara...."
