Katriel paced around the firestation. The alarm hadn't gone off in five days. No mischevious black or red jeweled dragons were causing any trouble laetely. She sat down on one of the chairs, looking at the fire chief. He was snoring away, prancing in dreamland somewhere. The female sighed as she looked out the window. It displayed a view of others socializing. Maybe it was time she left the firestation, maybe some friends... No. She couldn't. She had a job to do.
Kotar was reading a thick novel on the porch of the front yard. He had a thick coat covering him, and a scarf covering half his face. He was paranoid about catching a cold.
Even though the cold air was nipping at the scarce patches of fur he was showing, he ignored the cold stabs and continued on with the novel. It took place in the future, where the world was taken over by alien creatures called 'souls'. They put them inside of a human's neck, and they took over the body, erasing the human's mind and only leaving themselves.
Crashin' Wave was sledding by himself again. It was alot like surfing, but very different at the same time. Instead of sitting down like most, he stood. Several people had given him odd looks. But he always shrugged it off. The JMD continued snow surfing.
He tipped over the hill he was using. Wave let out a woop of excitement as he descended, before hitting a rock hidden under a blanket of snow. His sled got caught on it, and sent him flying through the air. "AAAAAGH!" he exclaimed, arms flailing. He landed with a loud 'THUMP' in a huge pile of snow. His head stuck out the top. He mumbled something about hating Winter. There were barely any surfing substitutes!
Melodious Solo wasn't enjoying the snow so far. She had caught a cold, and was now in bed, sneezing like crazy. "Achoo!"
She reached for the tissues. As she rubbed her nose and blew into it, her brother came in. He had almost the same pattern as her, but the colors were reverse on his fur and instead he was a white jewel. "What is it?" she asked in a rather nasal-y voice. She shivered and gripped the comforter on her bed tighter around her body. "Mom just told me to give you some soup," he said, handing a bowl with chicken noodle inside. A silver spoon stuck out of it. She sniffled before saying, "Thanks."
