Kendrick had listened to Ferns song with a secret smile. She might not know it, but she's a beautiful singer. He spotted Shadow and he grinned. "Yeah, I saw Lakota and Zarenn together. Hey Liddia" he chucked a rock at her shoulder and she groaned and turned over. "Where's Zarenn?" Kendrick asks with a grin.
"by deh ig stone" she grumbled into her pillow, which sounded a lot like "By the big stone"
Kendrick looks back at Shadow and nods.

Willow opened one light green eye, the catlike pupil slitting in the low firelight. Opening the other one, she looked at Fern. "It's too bad we don't have a fiddle." She murmured, being careful not to shift Rose, who had fallen back asleep. "Then you could sing the Riversong."

Kendrick looked up, seeing that the mighty dragon had awoken. He smiled and waved. "Hey Willow"
Drazarriz, on Kendricks shoulder again, looked longingly up at the dragon and sighed. He was a dragon. And he ages as fast as Kendrick. So why wasn't he bigger. he flew up to her and landed on Willow's nose and asks "What's the trick?"

"Grow up with sixteen brothers who call you pipsqueak." Says Willow, grinning. "That, and, I'm not a familiar. I think that might have something to do with it. How old are you, anyways? That is, how old is Kendrick?"

Pipsqueak? Kendrick's eyebrows raised and he and Drazarriz both said "eighteen" at the same time. Kendrick sits up and says "Well, since he ages like me, why isn't he huge?"

Taylor sat up and yawned, Zerth nudged Javerious and Javerious yawned and stood and stretched, he looked at Taylor and Taylor smilied and patted Javerious on the head rubbing her hand down his back and she threw Zerth a bone and smilied, she stretched herself Nd the through her hair in a ponytail and stood and walked out of her tent and looked around noticing she only had slept for a couple of hours, she rolled her eyes.

"Because I'm almost elven thousand years old." Willow pointed out. "If he wasn't your soul, he would barely be out of his egg. He has your knowledge, but dragons age much slower than humans do. In my eyes, he is like a baby with the mind of an adult human." Flashing a smile at Drazarriz, she told him "Don't worry- you'll grow."

Drazarriz sighs and nods. "I suppose so"
He looks back at Kendrick, and he cocked his head. Kendrick was sitting on the dirt, one arm wrapped around his knees which were pulled up to him. He held a stick which he was holding out to the fire. But his blue eyes were pained.

Rose was also awake at this point, and at Fern's flick of the head, she jumped onto Kendrick's shoulder and looked into his face. "What's wrong?" she whispered, her small voice soft and filled with worry. That was the thing about familiars- they always showed the emotion that their person was feeling, whether the person wanted to betray the emotion or not.
