"The name rings a bell, but I don't know anything about them." Fern shrugs, then says "I always thought they were just a fairytale. A myth, a legend, but certainly not real."

Kendrick nods. "Well, what Zendrick, my grandfather, told me, was that the Lore Seekers created Arlamore, and with it, 10 powerful items. One of them is the Book of Beyond. And another though, is the Stone of Eternity. It can let you live forever, but if you get hurt, it affects you. You just can't age...so, that might be able to help you"

Fern's interest was sparked, and her curiosity roused. "How might I find this... this Stone of Eternity?" She had no family to outlive, no friends other than Willow, so this Stone might be the one thing that could solve her one of her biggest worries.

Kendrick shrugs. "I have no idea where it is. But, we are probably going to be travelling all over Arlamore. We are bound to come across some clues that could lead to it. Liddia" he grinned at his sleeping sister. "She loves treasure hunting. She'll probably be able to find it"

Fern sighed sadly as Kendrick looked at Liddia. She let him finish speaking, then said "You're lucky."

Kendrick frowned, looking at her. "In what way?"

Fern shrugged, looking back into the fire. "You always hear people complain about their siblings, 'they're so annoying!' 'I wish I was an only child!' Stuff like that. But you never realize how much you love your family... until they're gone." She felt tears welling up in her eyes, and willed herself not to cry, but a few escaped and rolled down her cheeks. They sizzled wetly as they hit the fire, evaporating as if they never existed.

Kendrick was quiet. He watched as her tears hit the flames and disappeared. He closed his eyes and looked at her, cocking his head. "You know, Liddia isn't my real sister. I don't even really have a sister" he looks up at Willlow and then at Max, then back at Fern. "You may not have a family, and I know how you feel about that, I think, but you do have your friends, and just know that I will always be there to back you up" he smiles kindly, his blue eyes flashing red from the flames.

Fern smiles at him sadly, then whispers "Thank you. It's been a while since I met somebody who's willing to say that." The fire was beginning to die down a bit, and when she looked up she could see the stars. Still looking up at the sky, she tells him "I had a brother, once. He was a lot like you."

Kendrick looks at her curiously. She had a brother? He shakes his head and rubs the back of his neck. "Uh, in what ways?"
