[The Art Of Defiance]

Ari walked to the stables whistling a tune. He walked into the stable with Jolon on his shoulder. His horse Ares saw him and nickered softly. "How are you doin' Ares ol' chap?" he asked patting the huge war horse. Ari saddled Ares and decided to go find Darius. He wanted to see if Darius wanted to go on patrol with him. Ari road to the house of Darius and dismounted Ares. He knocked on the door and waited.

Darius nodded at his knight's comment. He opened the knocked upon door and found another one of his knights, Ari. "Hello, Ari," he said in a welcoming tone, "Please, come in!" He gestured for him to enter and walked back to his stew, pouring it into four separate bowls. "Anyone want lunch?" he tapped his hand on the table.

"Thanks and I would like some, please. Hey Darius want to go on patrol later with me?" he asked taking the bowl of stew. Jolon still perched on his shoulder. Jolon nipped on his ear lightly and Ari took the cue from him. He took a small chunk of meat from the stew with his fork and offered it to the falcon.

Darius nodded, "Sure, I'll go," he said as he busily ate away his stew.

-Rose-
She prodded the soup with her fork and took a nibble or two, testing the flavor. Rose decided it was okay to eat and chomped away.

Ari nodded to Darius. "How are you my queen?" he asked to Rose. Jolon flew over to her and perched on her shoulder. The falcon cawed lightly, happily. "Jolon, here," Ari said holding out his arm for the falcon.

Robert didn't touch the food, he didn't like to eat infront of people.

Rose laughed at the falcon, and saw Robert nt eating. "You alright?" she asked in a concerned voice.

Robert nodded. "Yes, I'm fine. I just don't eat infront of other people," He murmered quietly.

A moment of confusion crossed her gaze, but she told herself to think nothing of it. "Ok," was her simple reply.

Robert chuckled and shook his head. "I'm self concious. I don't like being stared at."
