Derek went off the trail a little ways and looked around. When he was satisfied that no one was around, he smiled to himself. 'Finally, a chance to spend a little more time in wolf form,' he thought.

Derek grunted as his wolf form began to emerge. With a snarl, he changed form into a black wolf the size of a Dodge Ram pickup truck. He shook himself hard and stood there for a moment, letting his senses readjust.

Sara's jaw literally hit the ground at the sight of Derek turning into a ginormous wolf.She stepped out from her hiding spot and said,"Well I certainly didn't see this comming."

Derek spun around and faced Sara, shock stamped on his face. He quickly turned back to human form and stammered, "Sara...I-I..." He was loss for words. She had seen him turn, seen him show his true nature, and now she was going to turn on him, just like everyone else did. No one understood him save for his parents and the pack that they belonged to. She was going to be just like everyone else, he was certain of it.
