[Vraska the Unseen]

Jade snapped her head up from her desk, her eyes in a clearly unfocused state. She simply flicked her wrist, sending her pen flying in the direction of Evan's head. The pen only hit the wall a few inches off, making a dull thud as it sunk an inch into the wall. She shook her head in a slow manor, rocking slightly in her chair. "Evan? I'm sorry!" She yelped, quickly lowering her head once more as she shook slightly, coiling her arms around her rib cage once more.

"Dr. Lyetn, don't try sneaking off. Get in here too and turn out the lights." Evan sighed, stepping inside the room completely. Lyetn followed close behind, looking a bit nervous. Evan ignored him for the time being and knelt in front of Jade. He folded his arms across his chest, frowning deeply at her. Dr. Lyetn turned out the lights, and everything was plunged into darkness. A moment later a dim lamp in the corner was lit so it was dim.
"Willy told me you have a concussion," Evan said, ignoring her apology, "Answer these questions on a rate from one to ten. I need to judge the condition your mind is in, and how much action will need to be taken.
"First, how would you rate your sensitivity to light?"

"What is the highest, and what is the lowest?" Jade muttered, slowly raising her head once more. Her eyes darted to the corner, "Do you want to loose an eye?" She suddenly muttered to Lyetn, her voice sweet yet laced with a threat. She allowed her head to roll onto her shoulder, slowly rolling her eyes back to Evan. She raised an eyebrow, not wanting to appear mentally gone. Cracking an almost frightening smile she slumped forward sh her arms rested on her knees, trying to force her unfocused eyes to stay on Evan.

Evan followed her gaze, studying her pupils. He took a moment to answer her question as he attempted not to smirk at her threat. He'd take care of Lyetn later, and Jade would be able to watch. Just as he promised earlier. That much he was looking forward to. The rest of it, not so much.
"One being the lowest, and ten being the most intense." He answered finally, studying her movements once more. She seemed to be struggling a bit. He would say that it was amusing how much she wanted to prove she was okay. However, if she did that, she would hinder them further. "Be truthful as well. The longer it takes to diagnose your condition, the longer you'll have to rest to get over the possible concussion you may have."

"Nine." Jade muttered, her head dropping to rest in her hands. She shook slightly. She stood to retrieve her lab coat, swaying, sitting back down before she fell and damaged her head further. OK, i'm not going to move much. She muttered in her own head, blinking slowly as she lowered herself into the same position she had been in before she stood. She narrowed her eyes at Evan, "If you think I am taking time away from work you're crazy." She shook her head slowly, her eyes spinning in their sockets. She clapped her left hand over them, slowly becoming dizzy.

"Nausea; do you feel like you need to throw up?" Evan continued, once again ignoring her statements. She seemed a little too sick to be working. Despite her wishes, her condition may just hinder the studies even further. If he had a choice, he'd rather she got over it before she continued working. He'd have to contact Seth about it, see if he has an experimental medicine that would cure it faster. He was good at that kind of thing. He'd just have to wait for Seth to fly in from Canada.

"Yes." Jade muttered. She took her hand away from her eyes, rolling them so far back that all color vanished from them. "Evan, I'm not leaving my work." She mumbled a bit louder, flicking her now determined eyes back. "And I refuse to take anything you give me, I will not be made into more of a beast then I already am." She blinked again, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Just by watching you, I can tell you one thing- you'll be out of commission for a couple of days to a week. That may be even longer without what I want to give you." Evan told her, leaning back. He sat down flat as he looked up at her in the chair. He studied her words carefully, getting another odd look in his eyes as he spoke. When he continued, there even was a spark of amusement veiled underneath everything else.
"Besides, when you say 'more of a beast than I already am', what is it you'd be hinting to? Don't lie to me, either, Jade. One way or another I will weasel it out of you, so it's better that you save yourself the trouble and just tell me in the first place." He looked at her savagely, glad she fell into this pit trap. He just needed to ensure that she stay there.

Jade smirked, "Strap him to a table and i'll show you." She laughed, pointing to Lyetn . She wasn't going to tell Evan, she was going to show him. Lowering her hand back onto her knee she watched Evan closely, her eyes guarded.
Alexander waved his arms around, jerking his body in an odd way. He was entertaining himself, a horrifying smirk plastered to his face. He gave this up and proceeded to dart around the yard, the same smirk still on his face. When he wanted to be, he was very frightening, but not always, he just felt like it at the moment.

"Right now, are you scared to tell me how you are a beast? The context of 'beast' implied that it was not a behavior, but rather a species. We'll have time for torturing Lyetn later, but right now you need to tell me what I need to know. You could do this willingly, or we can take it to the stainless steel tables." Evan raised an eyebrow, challenging her to deny his request for information. He would find out anyway, he'd just rather it be now than later.
