"It's not his fault the hybrids and whitecoats can't get along, but we can tryst him."

Mouse swooped down and dropped onto Aidan's shoulders. "Piggy-back ride, piggy-back ride!" She giggled and folded her wings back under her windbreaker, kicking her feet and tugging at Aidan's hair and ears. It felt funny to be able to somewhat trust a white coat; after the way the scientists had treated them and the others. She pulled at Adan's nose and stuck her tongue out, as if she was dissecting a frog and inspecting the different parts.

Ella watched as Mouse assulted Aidan, but she recognized that the girl wasn't aiming to hurt him. Ella sighed but suddenly gasped. "JAY!! Oh god, I forgot all about him in all the confusion!"

Mouse stuck her tongue out at Luna. "No!" she pouted, pulling at one of Aidan's ears. She immediately snapped back into focus when the snaps sounded. "What was that?" The four year old perked up slightly and glanced around, hugging Aidan's head and wrapping her arms around his neck.
