Eva blinked, genuinely confused. "What is this 'freedom'?" Sure, she knew lots of words, but not this one. It was completely new to her. "Is it edible?" Maybe it was because she had never known freedom that she had never heard the word, or maybe because once she had tasted freedom it terrified her. Either way, she was thoroughly baffled.

Tsubasa chuckled slightly. "No, it's not edible. It means that you can do what you want and don't have to take orders."

"But aren't there 'laws' that tell you what to do?" She blinked, mystified. Truthfully, she didn't know what 'laws' meant either, but she knew they were like rules. "Don't you still have to follow those?"

"Sort of, but the law couldn't catch me if they tried," Tsubasa admitting, smirking.

"You have broken the law??" Eva's eyes widened to an even more impossible size than they normally were, making her seem even less human and more bat.

"No, but if I wanted to, I could and would," Tsunasa admitted.

Still bewildered, Eva poked his cheek, "Why? Are the laws really that upsetting to you?"

"Some of them I don't care for." Tsubasa let go of her, forgetting he had been holding on.
