Serena nodded silently at Arabella, but remained silent. She ignored her sister because otherwise she would yell she loved KC. There was trouble enough already. She knew there wasn't a slight chance she and KC could be together. She already was engaged to Zerrick for a whole year. It wasn't like their parents would suddenly decide she and Zerrick shouldn't marry. No. She would be stuck in the castle. Making herself unhappy, making Zerrick unhappy and making KC unhappy.

When Serena replied, Arabella knew she had said too much once again. Emotions battled within her. Grief and heartache for her brother's death, anger for the insensitivity of the royals, that joyous feeling she'd had while dancing with Patch, the desperation she had felt during the Harvest. What is wrong with me? she thought yet again. She held her silence and let her darkest thoughts take hold in her mind. After a few seconds, she began to hum an old sad, song.

Dimari walked down to the meeting room where the rest of her family was.She sighed drowsily and found a seat.She held her aching head.How long had she been asleep?"Excuse my tardiness.I seem to have lost time."She said,hoping to get I over with and done.

Apparently, Arabella had just found out from Serena, and was wailing her eyes out. It wasn't so much the crying that irritated him. Rather, the thought that she was selfish and immature. Instead of talking about Aiden, she was speaking about herself and princess restraints. He tuned her out once she started humming a haunting tune.

The prince flicked his eyes to his older sister, Dimari, who had just entered the not-so-quiet room. Their parents nodded at her, both with a bit of annoyance. Dimari had always kept their family waiting. As soon as she sat, both sets of rulers stood. That was the princesses and princes cue to also rise. Kaleb stood, his eyes focused on Serena, and listened as the kings spoke.
