Serena was slightly surprised when she got pulled into a hug but didn't think long about it. She wrapped her arms around KC's waist and buried her face in his chest as he stroked her hair. Tears kept flowing. Most of them were for Aiden, though a small part was all the emotions she had built up inside her, since her mother always told her not to show her feelings towards others. But the girl didn't care anymore. The bad news of Aiden's dead had let the girl collaps. She needed to cry. She couldn't wait until she was home like she normally did. "No..." she murmured. "No...No...No."

Come here," Kaleb whispered, pulling her out of the foyer and through a hidden door. He closed it behind them, shutting them in a narrow room, dark and cold. Based on the solid thick slabs of stone walls, the prince judged the room soundproof, and rubbed his warm hands up and down the princess's arms. "Let it all out, Rena. Let it all out." he whispered, exhausted and miserable. He sighed heavily, loose wisps of her hair lazily blowing along with his breath.

Serena just followed KC and looked at him once they were in the small room. Feeling his warm hands on her arms and hearing his voice, the girl just trembled slightly, shaking her head. "I can't..." she whispered, trying to dry her eyes and stop crying. "I-I shouldn't..." Serena didn't know what to do anymore. She was confused about everything. A part of her told her to let everything out, but another part told her she had to act like a princess and push her feelings away. "I'm a princess....." she added softly, hoping KC would understand. Though the tears kept coming and coming, but the girl didn't say anything else.

That doesn't matter anymore. Nothing matters anymore.." Kaleb said, resting his chin on the top of her head. "You'll have to cry for him sometime. It's best to do it now, while the tears are still fresh. Before you have to face everyone." he said quietly, slowly rubbing her back. He hoped he was soothing her, not distracting. He wondered how Serena would be at the meeting. Whether it was wise to be speaking about it so soon. But it was the right thing. And it was more important than mourning. He could at least give her a few minutes to grieve.

Serena decided to listen to KC. He had often been right and she supposed he was now too. Burying her face back in his chest, she allowed the flood of tears to continue. She just cried, glad KC was around at least to comfort her now. Serena wrapped her arms around his waist again and hugged him tightly, crying silently in his chest.

Kaleb pressed her close, listening to her short breaths and felt the warm tears streak down and seek into his clothes. Rena had never been one to sob and scream. She tended to keep it all in and if Kaleb wasn't there to relieve her, she would probably explode with emotions. KC was her outlet, and he wanted to help her. Stroking her hair softly, the prince let her cry for a few minutes before pulling away. "Feel a tiny bit better?" he asked, still concerned. He gently wiped away her tears and tucked the loose strands of hair behind her ear. "I know this is like hell, but we still have to tell your sister. And your parents." he said softly, not wanting to set her off again. "Your brothers already know."

Serena nodded carefully as KC wiped her tears away. She heard him talk about her siblings and more worry washed over her face. "Are they alright?" she asked KC, now worried about her two other brothers. Serena had always been someone to worry about everything. From small things like making an announcement to big things like her siblings, there wasn't a day passing by without Serena worrying. Her voice sounded hoarse from her tears. "Arabella went home..." she added softly, now also worried about her because none of them had came with a guard, since there were barely guards in Elyadon. Serena bit her lip and started to ramble on and on about guards and the border and the rogues and her sister, her face only getting more worried every second until she was literally panicing about the safety of her other siblings.

After asking around for the infirmary several times, the princes finally stood in front of the hospital ward. Women, young and old, were chatting over tea in their uniforms. Bold red crosses were placed in several places around the room, scattered on the women's aprons. An older woman approached them, pushing her spectacles a centimeter up the narrow bridge of her nose. "How may I be of service, young sirs?" the woman humbly asked, clasping her frail hands. Her voice wavered slightly, as she gestured them over to a clean, white cot.

"My brother, Prince Nickolas," Tristan said, flicking his eyes towards Nick, then back to the nurse. "His arm got sliced while we were.. fencing." he lied, not wanting to hint at any of the horrifying events of the early morning.

"Fencing was it? Looks rather deep.. your highnesses." the nurse said, eyes crinkling as she gently unwrapped the bloody strips of cloth and examined the wound. "My name is Fernia, Head Nurse of the infirmary here. You two must be from Elyadon, then." she spoke, waving her hand at a young woman who then brought a cart over. Fernia took a roll of bandage off the cart and unwrapped it, placing it on the bed. She then turned to Nick. "Shirt off, please. And how old are you, my boy?" she asked, ignoring the common courtesy and respect for royalty. Tristan liked this woman.

The infirmary was quite big and seemed to be in very good condition. The nurses were all gathered around a table drinking tea and talking happily, quite like the ones in Elyadon. Nick smiled as an older woman approached them, introducing herself as Fernia, the Head Nurse. He sat down on the clean cot and watched as she got rid of the bloodied strips of cloth he had torn off his cloak. Fencing? Tristan, I am indeed impressed with how deep you can cut one with that fencing sword of yours, thought Nick, resisting the urge to chuckle. He obeyed the Head Nurse and took off his cloak, chucking it onto the ground and his shirt came off as well. Looking at them, did he fully realise what a sight he would've been when he entered the palace. Nick looked at Fernia and replied, "I'm fifteen."

(@DeerInYourHeadlights and I am Confliction ~ If this was a movie, I think I would literally cry in that scene between Serena and Kaleb, and probably before that... and I don't normally cry. :3

Arabella tore off a piece of the bread and popped it in her mouth before taking his hand. She smiled. "Show me how to dance," she said, beginning to move towards the open area where everyone else was dancing. She looked over at her friend who was still playing music and dancing and surrounded by handsome boys. "I can't promise that I'll be very good, but I'm willing to give it a try," she smiled again, and moved a stray strand of her red hair out of her face.

Patch/ Stable boy - Theif/ Elaydon

Patch took her hand and made a swift move, turning her in a position to face his side "Not watch this" he smirked. Patch clapped his hands and whooped a few times, then he lightly tapped his feet on the ground and started to dance, he made quick swiving movements and sang "Lie lie da doo lie lie lie lie lie lie lie la lie lie , lie da doo lie lie, lie lie lie lie lie lie!" he laughed as more people from the backlground whooped and sang along, someladies and men started to dance along.

Crystal/ Maid/ Elaydon

Crystal laughed and sang along, she moved her hips quickly, like a rattle snake when it shaked it rattle, the bead on her sash jingled, she clapped her tamberine along with the beat. She jumped off the stage andcircled Patch and danced, she signalled Arabella to come over "C'mon!" she laughed. She swirled andjumped and her silk cover flew through the air with ehr dancing, she patted the drum on her tamberine with a drummer's beats.

Arabella smiled and watched with full attention as Patch showed her the steps, moving and singing along with the music. Slowly she began to tap her feet along with the beat of the music. She smiled wider and wider, and began to move more, mimicking the steps Patch had shown her. Soon, she couldn't contain the music within herself any longer, and she burst onto the dance floor, hoping that she didn't look like a fool, and fell into step beside Patch. "Am I doing alright?" she said loudly, trying to compete with the music.
