Serena nodded in respond to KC, glad she had been able to finally get out of her ball dress. The thing had been very annoying. She smiled as KC wrapped his arm around her waist and followed him. She nodded in agreement. "I like gardens." A smile played across her lips as she walked through the hallways with KC, but she couldn't avoid it to look back even once in a while to see if they were followed. A part of her mind still told her she couldn't be seen together with KC. But that was only because she had lived like that for years.

Tristan raised an eyebrow. "No one you've been able to speak to? So there is someone?" he asked curiously. Strange, he seemed actually interested. All this grief must had messed with his head.

Kaleb smiled back, leading her through the twisting halls and back outside, but this time out into the gardens. The sweet aroma of winter flowers and evergreen trees drifted around them, pulling them to the heart of the green beds. The air was a bit chilly, and the wind twisted through Rena's hair. Lifting a hand, the prince silently tucked a loose strand behind her ear. He seemed to do that rather often. Perhaps he was obsessed with her brilliant red hair..

Serena walked next to KC, holding his hand in hers. She smiled softly as she gazed around the garden, being aware of KC tucking some strands of her hair back behind her ear. Even though he seemed to do that quite often, Serena didn't mind. In fact, she liked it to feel his warm hand brush against or through her hair. The feeling was soothing and caring... gentle. The princess smiled softly as she walked on with KC at her side, enjoying the view of the garden. The girl loved nature, but due to the fact she was a princess, she only saw the garden, as far as she could be in 'nature'. Serena didn't mind that. She wasn't like her sister. No, she knew her life was way better as the peasants. She had a house, a family and if she was sick, there was taken care of her. She got new clothes like, every month. Beautiful dresses every girl would feel pretty in. Therefore, Serena knew she had nothing to complain about and she barely protested against things she had to do. Because she knew it was ridiculously selfish to ask for 'more freedom', since she knew freedom didn't exist. Peasants worked day in, day out whilethey got less food as the royals. Sometimes, Serena just felt guilty for being a royal.

Arabella smiled at Patch and walked over to the man who she had shot in the knee. He was still rolling on the ground holding his knee. She grabbed the end of the arrow and the man cried out. "Now that I've got your attention," she said staring at him intensely. "Would you min too terribly telling me who you are and why you decided to attack my friend and I?" The man stared at her. "I see we'll be doing this the hard way then," she sighed and knocked another arrow, just in case. "Tell me why you attacked us and I'll take the arrow out of your knee. Decide not to, and the other knee gets and arrow as well."

Crystal wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close, then she broke apart and stood. She went over to a tree and starred into a puddle, she saw her reflection and sighed "Everytime i'm with you i keep thinnking of the future...then i realize, your a prince, i'm just a maid". She looked back at him, she went over to him and hugged him "I love you Alex" she whispered.

Patch sternly looked at Arabella, "Too harsh, try a calmer tone" he grinned, her looked around and shot the remaining men who hadn't left. Then he went over to the man, he took hold of the arrow and pulled it out, he helped the man up, but kept his face hidden by hair, "Now leave before i kill you" he ordered. He watched the man jump on his horse and ride away "And never come back!". He smiled at Arabella and stumbled over tot he horses, then collapsed, he had lost a lot of blood from a deep wound near his chest and in his side.

Kaleb pulled back from Rena, their hands still linked, and led her towards the shimmery built-in lake that his father had had made for his mother. There were rose bushes there, their faint scent twirling about in the breeze. A rather large Maple tree swayed proudly above the lake, across from them. And on the ground laid a straw basket, it's lid slightly open. Not too far from the abandoned container stood Kaleb's older brother. Alexander. Wrapped in his brother's arms was a young girl. A maid, from the looks of her attire. Shocked at the picture before him, Kaleb quickly pulled Rena with him behind a rose bush, ignoring the press of thorns against his shoulder. He was sure Rena had also witnessed the scene, and slowly peered out of the bush. The prince kept quiet, watching his brother and the maid in their embrace, and he quickly pulled back in sheer awkwardness. Alexander was never known for being the ladies' man. It had always been Kaleb. He turned and raised an eyebrow at Rena, his hand still entwined with hers.
