"I can't afford to sir." Diana said, rather shortly. "What do you need?"

Torrence immediately pushed a cutting board, a knife and some vegetables over to Riley. "Chop." He instructed, returning to his own swift cubing of a haunch of venison.

Riley - male, 15, apprentice - Torrence
Riley eyed the food doubtfully, grabbing one of the vegetables, and then the knife. He figured it would be best not to mention that he'd never really done this before, and got to work, sloppily cutting the food into cubes.

He cocked his head to the side, shocked by her tone. "How much do you know about Rangers?"

"Quite enough sir. You bring trouble, you lot. Always shooting and doing magic." She turned and began sweeping again.

Riley set his jaw as Torrence corrected him, nodding stiffly and adjusting his grip. He made himself slow down, taking it a bit at a time and trying to do it right.
