He pressed his lips together. Of course it's your fault! a voice that sounded a lot like his mother yelled at him in his mind, She likes you, and you ignore her, a wolf! Instead you settle for a cat. Aaron cursed quietly, and walked stiffly off into the forest. He hated it when his mother's voice tried to reason with him, it always made him feel as if she was right, he was wrong. But I'm not wrong, am I? he thought fiercely to himself. "I know who I like as a friend and sister, and I know who I want as a mate if I don't die!" he yelled out, hoping that he was far enough out of hearing range. Reaching a large granite bounder, he scrambled up it and sat cross legged, drooping his wings out on either side.
