Lotus turned as she slowly left the dinning room looking around as she did. She sighed seeing most of girls walking around talking or heading back to there room. She turned and guessed ashe mine as well go back to her room, before she opened the door to the room looking around. "Hey there you want to go out." Lotus asked the little dog as she looked down at her patting her head. "Let me change first." She told her before she changed into something better to wear outside. She turned and she picked up the small pup, before she slipped out the door. She really did not want to be seen so she moved a bit fast before a found a door that went outside. "Here we are." She said opening the door as she walked out seeing gardens, meadows and barns of all sort. She smiled before she sat Maggie down moving away from the castle as Maggie barked happily following Lotus.

Dace stared at his gilt canopy as he tried to fall asleep. He couldn't there was just too much to plan. He had already spoken with Lukier, and told him repeatedly that he was to paint every woman as accurately as he could. He was not to make them prettier than they were, or less, no matter what he was bribed with. The painter was already paid very well, and he had everything he could want. Gustave had passed the message on to his apprentices and assistants, and planned to start the portraits tomorrow morning. They would start at the first room, and go down simply by rooms. Dace knew it wasn't fair to judge based on looks, but there were many duties to being a princess and queen. One had to look the part.

He rolled on his side, in the huge king-sized bed. The duvet was blue and silver, all silk on the insides. He decided he would go riding tomorrow, he had to get out of the palace. He needed something to distract him. Finding a bride was much harder than he thought it would be. His father's health was diminishing and the pressure increased daily. His mother had been very helpful in pointing out the girls that she thought would do, and his aunt was narrowing her choices easily. But there was something about the girls that made him think that they were all alike. Maybe he just hadn't really met them yet. There was no way to tell what their personality really was like based on looks alone.. But he'd meet them, once the portraits were done and a few of them were sent home.

✢ Princess Roisin Saoirse O’Brien of Ireland ✢

Waking up with the first signs of the morning, the Irish wildflower slipped out of bed and hurriedly got dressed. Knowing full well if her maid saw her in men’s tights and tunic, she would get a scolding. Tate lifted his head and watched his human move around the room gathering up her bow, her hand made arrows, and the bag her oldest brother made her. Whimpering softly Tate got his human’s attention. “Oh hush, boy. I’ll be back soon.” Blowing her hound a kiss, Roisin slipped out of the room and out the side door.
Feeling the cool of the morning air and the wet grass beneath her toes, the young girl let out a squeal of excitement. Racing off towards the forest (which the Queen said that they could go and where the knights hunted often) with her bow in hand.

Lotus smiled as she sat down on a fallen log, watching as the small dog ran around chasing a butterfly. She laughed and pushed her hair back, the wind helping as it blow the summer breeze to her. It turned and twisted brushing leaves up off the ground as it helped the butterfly stay away from the little dog. Lotus laughed again as she leaned back, looking off back into the forest. She did not feel like going in for fear of getting lost, she had never really let the village and it all seemed so strange. She smiled and closed her eyes listening to the sounds and the smells of the forests.

Dace woke at dawn, while the sky was transforming from a beautiful purple to a shade of orange-crimson. He rolled out of bed, dressed quickly, and found one of his men. "Henry, please tell the Queen that I am out riding if she asks for me. I shall be in the East Forest," he said. Henry nodded, and went back to his game of cards, which he was badly losing.

The prince grabbed his bow and arrows, a hunting knife, and swept down to the royal kennel. "Please fetch Robin, Hedge, and Queensburg for me. Thank you." he said to the kennel-keeper. The keeper nodded, went into the kennel, and returned with three gorgeous hounds on leashes.

"Here you are, sire." Dace nodded, taking the leash and leading his three favorite hounds to the stables. They kept up and panted in excitement. Once they reached the stables, the prince called for his horse, Dante, to be saddled up. He took the leashes off of the three pacing hounds and told them to sit. They sat obediently, wagging their tails. The stable boy came out promptly, leading the prince's prize horse by leather reins. Dace mounted his chestnut ride and beckoned his hounds to follow him into the forest. He whistled, leading the way through the worn trail through the trees.

✢ Princess Roisin Saoirse O’Brien of Ireland ✢

Roisin was up in one of the great oaks when she heard the sound of dogs and a rider. Looking towards the direction of the sound, she saw the prince was out riding. She watched him for the longest time. He seemed to be human in the light – not that he didn’t seem so before but without the Queen breathing down his neck he seemed happier – and almost fell out of the tree watching him.

Dace sat up straight in his saddle at the rustling sound behind him. He sent his horse cantering back to where they had been but a moment before. He spotted the hem of a dress, which stopped him from unsheathing his sword. Stopping his horse in front of the tree, he descended and found his hounds sniffing the tree and howling wildly. He shushed them and sent them back to the horse, where they sat obediently. "Excuse me, I can't help but notice that you seem to be stuck in a tree." he called out, looking up into the branches. A girl with bright orange hair peered down at him. He smiled brightly and offered her his hand. "You must be one of the young maidens here at court. I'm Prince Dace, but you probably know that."
