Lyra winced. her whole world was black, but she could hear. She nodded weakly in reply.

The girl said,"Good. Just stay still. I'll bring you to camp." She went into the mine shaft and the bay horse sprinted through it. Morte stood still as rock waiting for Lucas to get in the jeep.

Butthead looked around to make sure no one was crossing, then he crossed the battlefield calmly. None of the terrorists were shooting at him. Some even smiled. He walked over to one of them, and he smiled and scratched butthead behind the ears. Butthead smiled and licked him before returning back to the marines.
