Susannah picked up her pace ignoring the gunshots. She almost caught the girl she was chasing but the girl in front of her suddenly turned. Susannah went after her but fell back about five feet.
A medic shoved something into Shilo's mouth and said,"Chew it. It'll help with the pain." Her voice was in monotone and she didn't sound like she cared if Shilo lived or not. She tapped on her knee out of boredom and kept an eye on Shilo.
The gang girls dragged Blitz though an area filled with the gang's horses. A blue roan mare with a slight limp walked over and the girl dragging Blitz along asked,"Remember her? You should, because of you we had to retire her."

Ainsley-the-medic (Will make form later, I like her charrie) looked down at the injured soldier (Shilo). She crouched beside him. "It's gonna be OK. I'm not your mama but I can help. What's your name?" She had to keep jim talking. His fever was incredibly high and she couldn't let him fall asleep again.

"Oh." Blitz said, looking at the horse guiltily. He did remember the horse. But hadn't Leo shot the horse to get Amanda? he thought. If he did, then it was a measure that needed to be taken. Amanda's freakin' maimed too many soldiers to just 'get away'. Blitz felt anger burn inside of him when he remembered that Amanda had gotten away anyways. He thought all of this, but all he mumbled was, "Sorry. Orders."

Shilo almost gagged when something was put in his mouth and was going to spit it out when he was finally understood the words that somebody had said, an order to chew it. So he chewed it and swallowed painfully, then his eyes opened up more. His vision focused finally. A girl he didn't know was by the cot he was lying on. "Oh... my name's.... Shilo." he managed to say. He felt like he was in an oven and that somebody was stabbing him in the side. Shilo hazily wondered why but didn't have enough energy to ask.

Rick followed the girl and Susan, then closed one eye and aimed his gun. He held his breath to steady it. He pulled the trigger and a bullet hit the girl in the leg. Rick didn't want her dead; she could prove useful. He was disappointed on how little the army understood about the gang. And there was nothing more dangerous than not knowing your enemy...

The mare looked at Blitz as if to say get on it's back. The girl who was dragging Blitz let him go but kept a close eye on him. The horse limped over to him and it's ears tilted back a little. It turned so it's side faced Blitz and prepared to run.
Susannah watched the girl fall and quickly grab a small vial from her pocket. She quickly took the cork out of the top and Susannah grabbed the vial. Susannah shook her head at the girl almost like a mother scolding a young child.

Ainsley smiled at Shilo. "My name's Ainsley. Honey. You gonna be ok. You awre OK. Shilo honey, does it hurt? You wanna pain killah?" She looked down at him. He was so young. Barely older than her. I can't, I won't!, Let him die. Let any of them die! She still wasn't used to the cost of war, but she would try her hardest to make it minimal.

Roz glanced down at herself. The blood from her slashed arm was pouring down her shoulder, making the gash in her lower belly look worse than it felt. She wished the fighting would stop. She needed a medic. All of them needed a medic. The boy in front of her looked hardly fifteen. His arm was broken, but he was still fighting desperately. The other side needed a medic. She wondered if this boy had ever thought about death. Or if he had imagined that the army would be an exiting and easy way to get money. She cringed. Poor boy.

The medic who had forced something into Shilo's mouth said,"You know we don't have may pain killers. They're hard to steal and we can't waste them. We only use them for bad cases and this is not a bad case now is it?" She looked down at Shilo and then over her shoulder at the blind girl holding her injured dog gently.
