Susannah held Moon back barely able to keep from being pulled onto her face. Amanda sat outside of the mine shaft Morte sitting next to her. The gang would get moving as soon as they got the horses calmed down as the terrorists knew where they were.

Blitz's head snapped up, "Did you hear that?" he asked nobody in particular, "I heard a horse neigh. They must be close." he quickened his pace a little. At least his mind was clearer now.

Amanda got up when she saw the gang going out of the mine shaft all of the dogs and horses with them. She knew her blue roan mare would have to be retired. Susannah said,"Yup. I heard it."

Leo nodded and frowned. He hadn't known that horses were involved. He would never kill an innocent animal, especially a horse. He sighed and let Lobo pull him forward.

Susannah said almost falling,"At least they aren't very violent." She thought of her dad's last threat to kill her if she ever dared came back.

BIC: Leo nodded. "Yeah, I guess there is that. And the fact that we have specially trained vicious attack dogs." He put air quotes around "Vicious attack dogs."

Susannah said,"They'll lick you to death." Morte barked and wagged her tail at Leo and trotted towards him panting softly. She her her ears straight up and she almost fell over because she was wagging her tail too hard.

Leo smiled and ignored Morte. He thought he'd seen her before, but not on friendly territory.

Morte heard Amanda calling her and ran off towards her. Amanda got onto a bay mare and smiled a little when Morte came back wagging her tail. Moon strained on her leash after Morte making Susannah come close to falling over.
