No one knew about Ella's father. No one knew much about Ella. Ella might have been sweet and pretty but on the inside she was strong. She started to cry. Tears welled up in her eyes. She never cried, ever! Not when she was in the army! But she cried, she cried and cried hoping no one would come in to comfort her. She dose not want anyone's simpathy. She is strong and independent. She dose not want help.

Sam looked at the medic, alarmed. "What!?" he said. Then he looked down at Susannah. She opened her eyes, and his breath caught. He'd never realized how pretty her eyes were...he shook off the feeling, then said, "Susannah? Can you hear me?" he asked gently.

Lucky finally had it. She got up, and trotted to the medic tent, nudging the door aside with her nose, and walking in. She licked Sam's hand, and he laid a hand on her head, not taking his eyes from Susannah.

Ella looked at the letter. She sneaked to the post piles and left hers under a big pile.

Susanna asked clearly very confused,"Who are you people and where am I?" She looked at her tumor and said plainly,"Gross." Then she looked at moon and started to rub the doberman's ear.

Blitz's legs began to fall asleep. He tried to remain as attentive-looking as possible, but he was growing tired. His hat drooped a little in front of his face as he waited for Sergeant Ella, Sergeant Lyra, or Lieutenant Sam to do something. For once, he actually wished for orders.
Shadow was getting antsy. He was hungry, and feeling like he was flying on a cloud after what he did. He whined and smacked Blitz's leg with her muzzle. "Ow, you crazy dog!" he smacked him again, this time he could see that Blitz was trying not to laugh, "You crazy dog." he pet him on the head, which made Shadow feel extremely happy. Shadow began to pant in the hot desert sun.

Sam sighed. "Oh no," he thought. "I am Lieutenant Sam Stoll, and you are at Fort Duss. You are a solider, Susannah," he explained.

Susannah looked around confused to who he was talking to. She asked him,"Are you talking to me or an imaginary friend or are you just plain old insane?"

[MissRose]

Sam shook his head. "I'm talking to you. You are a solider at Fort Duss. My name, is Lieutenant Sam Stoll. You had a stomach tumor, and we took it out of you. Your dog found a baby and carried it to you. It's waiting for you, outside, right now," he said. "Do you remember anything?" He took his hand out of hers.

Susannah said,"Not really. I think I had stale cereal for breakfast though." A private that had been listening through the door tumbled in when the medic opened the door again. Susannah reacted in a heartbeat took off out of the door and out of sight.
