Annie stood aquwardly off to the side. "Should I go and get anything?" she asked nervously, not sure what she wanted the answer to be.

"Yes!" Conner nodded. "Nectar, boiling water, hot oil, something to wake him up."

Annie nodded and left. All around she saw marks of the battle at camp. The one everyone had hoped wouldn't happen.

"annabeth!" he said happily, but then realized they were both in mortal danger. He dropped the pack, got the cap and stuck it on her head unevenly. "I'll distract it, and you attack, ok?" He sounded kind of unsure. One hit from the tentacles and both of them could go flying, but he knew they had to try: They wouldn't be able to outrun.

Annabeth looked up at him and smiled, wrapping his arms around him quickly and then pulled away, her heart hammering but she refused to let it show. She looked up at him as he took the cap from her own small hand and then suddenly placed it on her head. She looked up at him and frowned. she took the cap off and looked up at him, shaking her head slightly. She knew that was what had to happpen or death could fall upon them. "ok" she said firmly, her voice not showing how anxious she actually felt. She smiled up at him slightly. "a kiss for good luck?!" she asked and found herself doing a small scene back when they were in the volcano.

Renya was trying to reach the big house. She tried to smile at anyone who looked at her. Finally she reached the door, she tried to turn the door handle. She cursed "locked".

"Yup," Percy answered and they kissed. He pulled out Riptide, un capped it, and yelled as loud as he could, "Hey stupid octopus face! Wait, never mind that, your so ugly I don't think that should be called a face!" Percy actually couldn't even see it's head from all the tentacles, but it obviously made it angry. It made a weird screeching noise and Percy realized that it might not even be a giant octopus, but something else. He gulped and braced himself. One of the tentacles flew straight at him and Percy swung his sword. Half of the tentacle went flying and there was another screech but the monster didn't stop coming.

Annabeth felt his lips touch hers and in that moment just wanted to throw her arms around him and kiss him for a while, not breaking and keeping him for herself...but of course she knew in their predicament that woudl be a no. In general that would be a no. she breathed out, put the cap on her head and quickly rushed off to do her job while Percy did his. She took her dagger from her belt and looked around quietly, debating on where to get him form.
