Annie stood aquwardly off to the side. "Should I go and get anything?" she asked nervously, not sure what she wanted the answer to be.

Percy nodded. "Yeah, its was fine. But now its your turn now. My turn to watch." He smiled at her and yawned. "hopefully we'll have a couple more hours but then we'll have to move on, k? Before anymore monsters pick up our scent."

Annabeth looked up at him quietly and tilted her head slightly, a small yawn escaping her lips as she laid beside him. "i know" she said and nodded, closing her eyes and placing her head back down onto his shoulder. Thats when the ground started to shake. She blinked awake and looked around quickly. she sat up quickly and went to go grab her dagger around her waist. "what was that?" she said and looked over her shoulder slightly, dark stormy gray eyes alert.

Percy looked a round anxiously. "Maybe its just an earthquake..?" He said meekly, not reallly wanting to know what was actually causing the ground to shake. He bet it was really big, but before he saw anything, the smell hit it. It was disgusting, like rotten everything and anything. He gagged and covered his mouth and nose with his hand. "What is that?!"

Annabeth threw her hands over her nose and she got a whiff of whatever it was. She groaned and shook her head, feeling dizzied by the smell. "i dont know" she said and tried her best not to breath in too deeply for the smell was to rancid. She gulped down some saliva and looked at him. "we should get going" she went to stand up and soon fell to the ground, her legs suddenly like Jello.

Percy knelt down to her, also feeling not very good. "Are you ok?" He asked, "Come on, we gotta try getting away before we pass out or I throw up." The shaking ground became worse and worse, but it didnt feel like anything was coming at then from a certian direction.

"Gods not pass out again" Annabeth murmured and shook her head slightly and again stood up and looked around. She quickly gathered the blanket and then grabbed her invisibility cap and looked at him. "i'm gonna go and try and find out what it is" she said and places the backpack on the ground and looked at him. "take that and run, i'll be with you soon" she promised and smiled slightly but put the cap on, not moving just yet

"Wait... What??" Percy was sooo not the guy to run while his girlfriend might go to her death. He grabbed the stuff Annabeth gave him and ran after her, but quikcly realized he had no idea which direction she went. It was still dark and he couldn't see her anywhere."Annabeth? Annabeth?!! Where are you???" He called out but it was no use. He turned around in a circle a couple of times and just started running to where he guessed the earthquake was coming from.

Annabeth grabbed him from behind, still invisible. "Percy, i'm fine" she told him "now just run, ill be fast, i dont have anything with me" she told him, trying to show how fast she could be without the load on her back. "now please just go, i dont want you getting hurt, if its a monster, he won't be able to hurt me cause he can't see me" she told him all in a fast voice

"What..? Really? But... Fine. I'll go, but you better be careful." He lied. He didnt care if Annabeth wanted him to go. He started running and after around 10 minutes he looked around and started creeping back as quickly as he could. The pack was heavier than he imagined, but he like it because he used it like protection for his back.

Annabeth watched him go and then suddenly started to sprint off as quickly as she could towards the Earthquake and her possible doom. She came close and watched as this monster loomed in the distance, thwaping its long tentacles around for a while. Annabeth watched it closely, from it's glands you could tell stinks off all different sources were spewing from them. she held her nose, and felt her head go light but shook it off and soon turned around-almost getting whacked by a large tentacle and bursting towards where Percy ran. Suddenly though as she was watching behind her as she ran she ran headlong into Percy, falling to the ground, her caping coming off and laying upon the ground next to her
