Shale snorted incredulously and looked up at Mitch. "Oh, you just happened to be climbing that certain tree, and just happened to overhear our conversation?"

Shanker's face was turning a sickly shade of purple, but he still refused to talk. He was very stubborn.

"I cane do this all day." Dawn replied.

"No! I rode up on Hulst to both of you and you just ignored me so I climbed the closet tree!!" Mitch explained.

Mitch looked down at Alex and whistled. Hulst trotted to the tree and Mitch dropped swiftly from branch to branch and lanes in Hulst's saddle.

Alex nodded at his skill in climbing down. "Well as you over heard, Shale wants to know about this amulet." She said gesturing toward the glimmering treasure around her neck. "I'm guessing you want to know too?" She stated more than asked.

"Well... It's not that long of a story. Shankar gave it to me one day. Then after he stopped visiting me wargals came and stole it from me. I'm not sure why, but they did. I followed then and stole it back because it was all I had left of him. I was caught, chased by wargals, and met a ranger." Alex smiled remembering the day she stole it back was the day she started her training.
