Shale rushed over to Alex. "Alex! What's wrong?"

Gilan waved his hand at Shale. "You stay with Halt."

Shale looked up at Gilan. Shale was about to argue, but he knew Gilan was right.

Gilan put Alex over his shoulder. "Come on, just because you're bored doesn't mean you should run into a Wargal infested forest."

Shale walked back over to Halt and nocked another arrow to his bow.

"I broke my leg jumping off my horse." Alex replied to Shale. "And fine I'll stay. As long as I get my second cup of coffee." He said to Gilan leaning against him and limping toward the cottage.

Halt shot and arrow into the bushes which flew past Shale's head and over Gilan's as he was standing. It hit an approaching Wargal.

Shale glanced back at Alex. 'Broke her leg?' He thinks to himself. 'Oh gosh, I hope she's okay.'

With a shake of his head, he turns back to the forest. He jerks his head back as Halt's arrow shot past. "Little close, don't you think?" He asks dryly.

Alex limped into the kitchen and sat down with her long forgotten second cup of coffee.
