Observing the mini stand off that seemed to be happening in front of him, Corbin soon started to realise that the new girl had already made a mistake. Despite Cloud being decidedly nicer than usual, the blonde haired girl who had seemed set on flinging herself over the railings of the boat earlier took his travelling friend's half-hearted insults personally. This was really the opposite way of handling the brash girl; it was much better to either ignore her completely if you weren't looking for an argument, or fling an insult back if you were. Instead, this newbie to the trials and horrors of just vaguely knowing Cloud had decided to give her even more to work with by mimicking the other girl's hand-on-hips motion. Saying "Excuse me?" was also not the way around it.

Luckily for her, however, the white haired menace seemed to either take pity on her and not insult her further or realised this was getting her nowhere for a change and try to be reasonable in response to Kat's introduction.

Scoffing at Cloud's 'modest' introduction to herself, Corbin instantly picked up on the loop-hole in her little speech. "Number one battler, you say? Surely you mean next-door neighbour to the best battler? I mean, Cynthia has exceptionally strong Pokemon and, well, last time I checked you don't have any whatsoever." he asked sweetly, casting her a scathing look with cold blue eyes. And of course, she also ended up launching into an introduction of himself. Considering the fact that just minutes earlier she had ended up kicking him for a reason he already couldn't remember though, it was actually decent enough.

As well as taunting the girl whose name he had forgotten and couldn't care less about, Cloud also moved on to try and irritate him with a cooing voice and patronising words. Yeah, nice try, but the dark haired boy was way past caring about anything she said after having to spend hours with her. "I think Jay'd thank me more if I did throw you overboard when I had the chance." Corbin muttered darkly in return as the white haired girl sprinted away in a fit of giggles, leaving him alone with the girl unfortunate enough to have stumbled upon them.

After a short pause and silence where he turned to and quickly looked Kat up and down, Corbin decided that the pretty girl had been genuinely offended by Cloud's half-hearted insult about looking like a Magikarp. "...don't take it personally; she can't help being malicious to every single person she meets. It's in her nature. Looking like a Magikarp is almost a compliment." he gave her a quick apology for his friend to consolidate for the fact that she had managed to almost knock Cloud over of all people. With that, he half-hobbled off to catch up with the girl who had already disappeared and hoped Kat wouldn't follow; it would save everyone a lot of trouble.

"Characters must be age 16-18 if you choose Professor Jay, no exceptions. The Professor isn't letting 10-year-old kids take on the dangerous tasks by themselves. However, if you choose Professor Juniper, then you can have characters aged 10-18." ))

{I'm sorry I haven't been able to post lately. I have been very busy with tests and semester exams at school. I'll plop Kat somewhere when Starkit makes her post that will effect everyone's characters. C:}

From the shore of Unova came a speed boat heading straight towards the Navy Lark. It would be able to reach the large cruise ship in about ten minutes with the speed it was going. The Navy Lark still had forty-five minutes to an hour to reach the docking station. On board the Navy Lark there were four teenagers that would soon be affected by the arrival of the strange boat.

For now, a cell phone, a few meters away from a group of three teens began to ring. The owner of the device answered within four rings as he fished through his pockets to find it. The man's forehead knotted with wrinkles as he frowned and glanced over at the group of loud trainers. He kept listening as the voice on the other end of the phone continued to talk, then reluctantly he approached the group after speaking with his puzzled wife.

He quickly handed his cell phone to the teenager closet to him, which happened to be Corbin. Then he stepped away a few paces out of ear shot which he had been told to do by the person on the phone. Now that Corbin had the phone, the same female monotone, recorded-like voice began to speak again.

"Corbin, you and three other trainers will be required to disembark the Navy Lark before its scheduled docking time. In six minutes a speed boat will drive parallel to the Navy Lark and the four of you will have to jump onto its deck. You will have sixty seconds to do so. Any trainer that does not make it on board will be sent back home on the next cruise back. Cloud, Kathrynn, and Rae are the other three trainers. You must find Rae and then be ready to board the boat when it arrives. You now have four minutes and forty-nine seconds."

The voice on the phone was silent and was replaced with a dial-tone on speaker. The owner of the cell phone quickly retrieved his phone and turned it off before returning to his wife. The two talked in hushed voices, glancing at the trainers before heading back to the ship's heart.
