As a young man or woman, you've finally decided to start your Pokemon journey. Wherever you may have come from and whatever you wish to do, Professor Juniper Jr. is ready to get you started.

Professor Juniper Jr. is Professor Juniper's son and plans to follow in her footsteps by being professor and scientist. However, unlike his mother, he is planning to be something bigger and better. He wants to study all five generations of Pokemon and his goal is to discover the true way to draw out the strength of Pokémon. He also has other smaller goals like this and thankfully has new technology to aid him and his trainers.

To accomplish these goals, Professor Jay, as most call him, has selected trainers like yourself to help him in his research. He's carefully chosen a few men and woman aged 16-18 because the tasks he needs help with are not for children or adults. He needs people who will fall under his command and secretly get work done for him without problems.


For the first time each trainer will pick from five starter Pokemon, each personally chosen by the Professor himself from each region. Once you've selected your starter you will receive a Pokedex, five Pokeballs, and a warning.

A warning because from the ashes of evil, arises a new dark force. Professor Jay wants you to know that a new team of super villains has taken to the streets in secret. Their mission is to reach Professor Jay and end his life's work and plans. Your mission is to protect Professor Jay, his work, and aid him as best you can.

She has been a Professor for many years and continues to start trainers on their journeys and further her research with Pokemon. However, her normal process of giving three starters has changed due to the rumours of an evil team on the lose. The other four professors from the other regions have sent extra of their starter Pokemon to Juniper so trainers will be better prepared to fight this threat as best they can.

Even though Professor Juniper has warned the new trainers to avoid any new threats, several have decided to take on the challenge with their new partners. Some are confused and suspicious of the this new evil team and are determined to bring them down with the help of their friends and Pokemon.

• Follow the basic forum rules
• Pokemon don't need to stay in their pokeballs, this is like the original anime, so all your pokemon can be out at any time

• HM moves must be realistic. You can't fly on a Pidgey, sorry

• Also, a water type cannot know flamethrower

• The 'stronger' or 'rarer' a Pokemon, the harder it is to catch/capture

• You cannot always win a battle, catch a wild Pokemon, etc.

• Romance is allowed, but must follow all site rules

• Update your first character post if you catch a new Pokemon, move a Pokemon to a PC box, etc

• Tell me if you are leaving so I can remove your characters

• Be active, I may PM you if you have not posted in sometime and you can decide if you still wish to roleplay

• You must have a minimum of 6+ lines per character post (interactions with other trainers have to at least be a minimum of 5!)

• Proper grammar, spelling, etc

• Use third person point of view

• All Pokemon will win and lose battles, nonnegotiable

• There will be no levels posted for Pokemon, but there will be four (pre)selected moves for all Pokemon

• Use (( )) or {{ }} or something similar when out of character

• Please use images/sprites provided below. PM if you have any issues or comments about it.

• Six Pokemon on hand at a time, other Pokemon can be sent to PC Box (PC Box will be located on trainer form, please edit and update when swapping Pokemon, can only be done when at Pokemon Centre)

• Currently no legendaries or shinies, more on this later

• Please refer to information Pokemon sites when deciding on moves and anything else

• Have relationships with your Pokemon and bring some character into each one, but at the same time have each Pokemon different from another (try and think about how they will interact with their trainer, other trainers, and other Pokemon)

• Do not whine if you don't get a Pokemon you want. Sometimes trying out different Pokemon is fun.

• Feel free to alter the layout of the form to your liking.

• Characters must be age 16-18 if you choose Professor Jay, no exceptions. The Professor isn't letting 10-year-old kids take on the dangerous tasks by themselves. However, if you choose Professor Juniper, then you can have characters aged 10-18.

• Please do not take this idea. I've worked very hard on making everything up and would like it to stay original

• Only one trainer sprite per person.

• There can only be two of each Pokemon in the whole roleplay. Each user can only have one Pokemon specie, you can bypass this rule by making two characters with the same Pokemon.

• Since this a semi-lit roleplay I am only looking for users who are part of the The Semi-Literate+ Roleplayer's Club. Please PM me if you are not a member, interested in joining, and have been accepted into another semi-lit roleplay before. I will most likely look through your past posts to see if your level of roleplaying is similar to other user's who will be joining here. I have nothing against anyone's roleplaying skills, I just want to make sure there are people who can all post at least a good semi-lit paragraph.

• I will randomly select starter Pokemon using a random pokemon generator (http://wyncorporation.com/pokemon/index.php) please don't be upset or mad if you don't get Pokemon you like. The whole point is to try out new Pokemon that you may not usually pick. You have a choice between real starter Pokemon or the five random ones. Chose wisely.

A is for Attentiveness;
Try to pay attention to where everyone is in the game. Read all posts if you can, and try to look out for openings to make the plot more interesting. Realize when you need to post and understand when your character is needing to do something. Reading other user's characters will also give you good ideas of the other trainers in the game.







B is for Balance;
Balance is more than just an equal number of boys and girls. Balance means making sure that we don't have twenty characters that are exactly the same, have constant battle or constant peace. Balance means knowing when your character should win and when he should lose. In this game, balance also pertains to Pokemon. If you see that four characters before you have eeveelutions in their parties, or there are many trainers specializing in fire types, consider making yours different in some way. Also balance your teams. You should not have all fully evolved super strong Pokemon. You should have at least a few Pokemon that are you that are perhaps, in training.







C is for Communication;

Personality »
A cunning, brave, and daring warrior. Skoll is physically very strong and isn't afraid to pick a fight, which can create trouble since he doesn't always know what he's getting into. His history has hardened his personality and he is a treacherous trainer. He prefers distances himself from the others because he doesn't want to be emotionally attached to anyone. Although there is a part of him that wishes someone was at his side so he could care and protect them. Over the nineteen years of his life he has learned to stick to the shadows and not talk to many people. Well, he tends to prefer not to talk to people much at all. He likes to watch, observe and study nature, people, and Pokemon in secret. He is one who carves adventure and does not like people who stand in his way. Skoll takes the less travelled road and seeks new ways because he thinks that hoping for the best is just a waste of time. His intentions, appearance, and movements can be described as cold, dark, and mysterious. Most of the time he blends in to his environment by being silent, withdrawn and well-mannered. His is very good at keeping his emotions in check and hiding any weaknesses that may surface when around anyone. But underneath there lurks an angry beast and on rare occasions people may get a glance at this wildly dangerous side.

A father who works in the military. His mother (Calla) and father (Kale) were young when she got pregnant. Kale loved Calla and gave up his dream of becoming a great athlete to be at her side and support the baby when he was born. However, Calla was not ready to be a mother or take on the responsibility of a baby. She got scared and left Kale with the new baby as she fled back to her home region to live with her family again. Kale never saw Calla again but grew to love and hate Skoll at the same time. Skoll often reminded Kale of Calla and so there were times when he would separate himself from his son, as he could never fully forget his love he had for Calla and pain she left him. Kale ended up becoming a commander in the military, deciding to use his athletic skill for good and still have a great job even if that meant being away from Skoll for long periods of time. However, now Skoll has not gotten word from his father and silently fears his father may not return.

History »
Skoll grew up with his father as his best friend. They were very close and did almost everything together. Although when his father, Kale, began training and heading off to camps to prepare for a new military job, Skoll was alone a lot. They lived in a secluded area, next to a land and lake of Pokemon where Skoll spent a lot of his time wandering, exploring, and observing Pokemon. A lot of the kids at his school thought he was a strange wild child and Skoll's only friends were the ones he made up in his mind. He hated school and loved the time when he could spend his time imaging adventures.

By the time his father started to leave in long periods, Skoll was working and doing his best to please his father. Skoll felt like he had to live in his dad's shadow and did his best to get physical fit and talented like his father. He had matured quickly from childhood and had lost his imagination when he began to fear that his father would never return. Skoll still worked hard and lived with the constant fear which he bottled up inside.

This changed Skoll to be a much different person. His father was proud of his son, although they both felt like they were slowly becoming more distant as Kale grew to know his son less as he grew into a different young man, since Kale was away so much. Skoll worked three jobs, as a workout trainer, a mechanic and selling cameras. He ended up picking up photography skills and adopted the new hobby.

Skoll thought he would move on to find another job for his future when his father suggested a Pokemon journey. It was hard for Kale to suggest this since he had first met Calla this way, but he knew he wanted his son to experience the same enjoyment he had felt from partnering with Pokemon and exploring the world.

Skoll reluctantly agreed, rather interested in the idea of wandering and exploring the world instead of his own backyard. He decided to take his biking/driving skills, cameras, and daring side to the road. He met up with Professor Jay and agreed to work for him and so began his Pokemon journey and new adventure.
