Cat almost jumped up when Riley touched his shoulder, he narrowed his eyes slightly and sighed frowning a little 'metal poisoning? But he doesn't smells like metal...' He thought and shook his head then looking at Riley, "who are you and why you scared me?" He asked then scratching the place the tattoo was some from over the shirt and bit his lip slightly as the light colored shirt's sleeve started getting a little stained in blood and so he stopped scratching the place and hid his wrist behind his back.

"I just wanted to be normal."

"Oh hush." Skylar mumbled, and resisted the urge to mess up her hair. He gave a faint smile, "lock a Pearce up in a big shadow box? Unless you hand a spotlight in there, they'll get out and just fill the entire school with balloons... and make special ones with glitter in them to put in your room."

Kage would have smiled if she hadn't been startled by the call. She took the dagger he held out and remained quiet when he closed his eyes in concentration. She closed her eyes as well until she felt the ground shift just slightly and she opened her eyes. She watched as he went over to Kurai and picked her up in a hug. With the dagger still in her hand, she simply let it go to have the shadows catch it and slip it into Riley's pocket.

Kurai was in the middle of listening to Rachel when Riley came and picked her up. She squeaked in surprise, and nearly stuck him with a senbon before she realized who it was. She shook her head to the question, "No, Jacob passed out before we could even do anything." She mumbled, and looked at Rachel as she told Riley to take them outside. "I don't want to leave though." She complained and then poked Riley, "put me down, I don't like being picked up." She knew that probably wouldn't happen so she looked to Cat, "his name's Riley, he's my uncle."

Kage watched as Riley steered the two away, murmuring a quick thanks to him and let Rachel pull her over to the bedside. She frowned as she listened, and remained quiet as she thought. She didn't know what the angel meant by silver flecks, but she didn't like the sound of silver veins. She had that, especially when she was younger. She shook her head, "I don't know, I don't think its some metal liquid... some type of silver poison though... yes... A brain scan probably won't do anything." She leaned over Jacob, pressing her hand to feel his pulse then picked up his wrist gently to look at the veins visible there, glad to see these silver veins seemed not to be appearing. "How does Kurai know of it? And do you know about how long he's been out?"

Angela grinned and shook her head, "Look, if they are filling rooms with balloons I plan on leaving them to it or I'll end up being glued to a ceiling. They can do whatever they like as long as it's not in my class. I'll call their parents if they get too bonkers..."

- - - { Riley Thorn

Riley moved Kurai so she was sat on his shoulders, "Watch your head on the door." He ducked down a little to make sure that she wouldn't hit her head on the door when he walked through it. "As Kurai says, I'm Riley." He offered a hand to Castiel for him to shake as he greeted himself. "I didn't mean to scare you. Only to move you both out of the way while Kage and Em speak." He set Kurai on the windowsill when they were out in the corridor and sat next to her, "Anyway, you beat mine and Mason's record of how fast we can visit the infirmary. On the second day of our third year we climbed out of the fourth floor window, Mason slipped on the rope and went into a rose bush. He broke his arm from that."

"Did you think you were allowed to start school without giving me a hug eh? Am I your least favorite Uncle or something?"

"Kurai said that this happened before, that she noticed silver flecks in his eyes and along here..." Rachel pointed out where Kurai had. "I don't know how long he's been out, can't be longer than a half hour or so. He appears to be fine, feverish, but fine, apart from not waking up. He's not going comatose, there's nothing to suggest that. But he won't wake."

Durendel had apparently heard about the problem, and his response was to fly up to the window nearest Jacob and ROAR as loud as he possibly could. "DURENDEL!" Emily snapped, smacking the dragon's snout when he stuck his head through the window. "NOT HELPING!"

Castiel blinked, "this explains a lot..." he looked at Kurai, "apparently your family members like to scare me" he blinked and shook his head just staying around there watching them both with a curious look upon his eyes, it was funny to see them like that, very funny.

Skylar laughed, "I think calling Kage and Aiden would result to you being glued to the ceiling too, whether it be right away or after they find out you called them." He leaned down to duck a branch and to kiss Angela on the cheek, "you gotta remember they have a mashed personality of all four of you Thorns, especially of Mason and Riley." He straightened as the neared the treeline and the school came into view.

Kage listened with a small frown when Rachel said it had happened before according to Kurai. It made her wonder why neither of the twins told her about it. She would ask later she decided as she continued to listen. She frowned inwardly when she pointed to the vein on his neck, and it took a moment for her to realize that was near the spot where her scar was and where her worst issues where with the poison. She blinked in surprise to Durendel decided to roar. "At least he tried?" She smiled faintly and looked at Durendel when he stuck his head through the window, "But yes, not helping."

Being on his shoulders was better then being held, so Kurai didn't complain about it, though she was inwardly complaining about not wanting to leave. She did as Riley said and ducked her head to avoid hitting it when they walked through the doorway and into the corridor. She looked at Cat and smiled, just faintly, "Nah I think that you are scared by twins or you just get scared easily." She liked that she actually had to look down rather then up when she was Riley's shoulders, it made her tall for once. When he set her on the windowsill, she was disappointed but didn't say anything and just remained seated. She looked at Riley and smiled faintly again, "yeah well we weren't exactly doing anything like climbing walls and stuff, unless you count walking dangerous... and in Jacob's case it is..."

"Well I couldn't exactly when you scared me and I had to stop from sticking you with a senbon." With a faint smile she hugged him, "I mean, unless you want to be stuck with one and get a hug right after, ok I can do that."

(oh just curious, but are we going to have some event like in DH?)

Angela smiled faintly and returned the kiss. "I'm not that bad... Am I?" Angela pulled a face and slipped her hands in her pockets, "Okay I did conspire with your sister once and we dropped mud on Damien's head." Angela slipped her hand into Skylar's and frowned at the school as t came into view.

- - - { Riley Thorn

"I didn't scare you..." Riley muttered when Castiel said that Kurai's family scared him. He returned the hug with a faint smile, and kissed her forehead. "You stick me with one of those senbons that you're so good at conjuring up, and I will tickle you. Riley smiled and prodded Kurai's side before conjuring up a senbon and tapping it against his niece's nose. "Walking can be dangerous if you're walking a tightrope across the roof, I sprained an ankle from that."

- - - { Rachel Stave/ Emily Maurier

Durendel snorted and nudged Jacob's arm with his nose, he grumbled a little when Kage agreed that he wasn't helping.

Rachel gently pushed Durendel out of the way and sorted the blankets out on his bed. "Go do something useful Durendel, preferably no where near the infirmary." The dragon snorted and Rachel waved him away as he continued to nudge Jacob's arm.

Skylar raised an eyebrow as he looked at her, "oooh really? You put mud on Damien's head?" He grinned, "see, they do get it from you too." He chuckled and looked at the school. He tilted his head as he could see just a small part of Durendel on the school and looked at Angela, "why are you frowning?" He poked her with his free hand lightly with a curious expression.

Kage watched them quietly, and frowned just slightly as Durendel just stayed where he was, and continued to nudge Jacob's arm. "Durendel, I don't think you nudging him will wake him up, especially if your roar doesn't.... if that's even what you're doing?" She looked at Jacob was she thought, crossing her arms loosely and biting her lip, a habit she had when thinking. She didn't understand why Jacob seemed to have the same type of silver veins she had from the poison in her blood. He couldn't have gotten it from her... no that wouldn't be right. She hadn't been born with the poison, so it wasn't genetic or anything. She rubbed her face, making a grumbling sound. She couldn't say anything though, even though she'd learnt about the poison over years, she probably didn't even understand a quarter of it.

Kage crossed her arms again, and a frown appeared on her expression as she noticed a faint silver appear on his neck. "His vein is turning silver..."

Castiel narrowed his eyes but said nothing, he kept his arms behind his back as he leaned on the wall thinking for sometime before shaking his head and sighing softly, "Hum so... You have a twin as well?" he asked randomly looking at Riley, he had to say something since he was somewhat still on a sugar hush. He looked at Riley curiously waiting for his answer when something white appeared crawling through the corridor, his attention was drawn to it then and he took a moment to reckon the white iguana, he grinned and grabbed her then, "Lettuce..." he said now all of sudden ignoring the world around him.

"It was like one time. Actually, it was mostly your sister since she used her shadows to do it... I'm frowning because I'm wondering how long it's going to take for Durendel to get stuck like that... What is he doing?" Angela tilted her head to the side with a frown as she tried to guess what the dragon was actually up to.

- - - { Rachel Stave/ Emily Maurier

Durendel snorted at Kage as if he was trying to tell her that he knew what he was doing, and Rachel frowned at him, "Durendel honey, sweetheart, we talked about this, no matter if you're a dragon that can create earthquakes or not, you have no idea how to heal a human, stop trying." She shooed him away from the bed and moved over to Jacob, carefully putting a syringe against his neck and drawing a bit of the silver out of the vein. She frowned a little at the syringe and passed it to another nurse to test before rather expertly stabbing another empty syringe into the same spot on Kage's shoulder and withdrawing some of the hunter's blood before Kage could make a fuss about it. She handed that one over to the nurse from them to analyse and handed Kage a plaster. "I'm curious to if it's managed to slip down a generation."

"Theeeeeeey still get some of it from you, don't deny it. They probably get the common sense from you and Kage actually." Skylar gave a soft chuckle and watched the dragon. "What's he doing is an extremely good question..." He couldn't make some guess either, though it was hard to guess what the dragon was doing on a daily basis. "We could go and find out...? Though I want coffee first..."

Kage just watched Durendel as he snorted at her, and just shook her head to whatever he was trying to get across. She watched Rachel as she took some of Jacob's blood, and then squeaked in surprise as the nurse stabbed her with a needle. "You know Rachel, a little 'hey I'm going to stab you with this needle here and take some of your blood' would be nice before you actually do it..." She mumbled and took the plaster (hehehehe XD), but didn't put it on her shoulder, instead she just had shadows wrap around it. Shadows where much more effective in her opinion. "yes I'm curious abut that too... though you still could have told me you where going to stab me with a needle."

Kurai squeaked when Riley prodded her in the side and she scooted over, "Tickle me I'll still stick you with one." She looked cross-eyed at the senbon which he tapped against her nose and then gave a faint smile, "well yes, but that's a tightrope. Just walking down the corridor is dangerous for Jacob. Why where you talking across the roof on a tightrope anyway...?" Her attention turned to Castiel as she heard him speak, and expected to find some lettuce just walking down the corridor. She tilted her head curiously as she realized he was talking to a white iguana, "you have an iguana...? Named Lettuce...?"
